Canada and E.U. Pull Together as America Pushes Them Away

Canada signed a defense partnership with the European Union on Monday, the latest indication that two of America’s closest allies are deepening their military cooperation as President Trump pulls away and promises to reduce the United States’ role in international security.

Mr. Trump has been pushing for other countries in NATO — which includes Canada and most European Union nations — to invest far more in their militaries, accusing them of relying too much on the United States.

He has called into question America’s commitment to defending some NATO members and has launched a trade war against some of the closest traditional allies of the United States.

Trump is smart to ditch these parasites.

The EU consists of corrupt, preening authoritarians bleating about democratic ideals while lining their pockets.

Carney’s kind of people.

After agreeing to 30-day timeline, Mark Carney now says ‘nothing’s assured’ on deal with U.S.

OTTAWA — Prime Minister Mark Carney lowered expectations on Monday about reaching an agreement with the United States for an economic and security pact by July 21.

Speaking in Brussels, where he signed a defence partnership with the European Union (EU), Carney was asked which options Canada would be considering, besides higher tariffs on U.S. steel and aluminum, if he does not strike a deal with U.S. President Donald Trump within the next 30 days — as agreed to during the G7 summit last week in Kananaskis.

President Trump On Ceasefire Violations: Israel & Iran “Don’t Know WTF They’re Doing”

What we know about the Iran-Israel ceasefire

Donald Trump has warned Israel against launching further attacks on Iran, hours after he said a ceasefire between the two sides had taken effect.

The US president used an expletive as he criticised both sides, after each accused the other of breaking the US and Qatar-brokered truce.

It came after Israel said Iran had violated the deal and vowed to respond with “powerful strikes”.

How Biden’s Border Policies Burned America

Independence Day is approaching! It’s time to start planning our celebrations. We’ll be cranking up the barbecue grills, waving our American flags and anticipating parades and fireworks.

So who do we invite over to celebrate the day with us? We could easily invite a few of our neighbors, close friends and relatives. But how about if we change things up a little? Why don’t we go downtown and invite some people we know nothing about, who don’t speak our language and who very likely mean us harm?

What’s the worst that could happen?

President Trump: Israel, Iran agreed to a ceasefire

US President Donald Trump announced late on Monday night that a ceasefire has been reached between Israel and Iran and will enter into effect at 7 a.m. Israel time.

Trump said that Iran will immediately cease attacks and Israel will join the ceasefire on the 12th hour of the agreement. On the 24th hour, both sides will reportedly accept an end to the 12-day war.

Will it last? H/T David Martin

Trump speculates about regime change in Iran after US strikes

US President Donald Trump has raised the possibility of a change in leadership in Iran, after his country joined Israel in striking Iranian nuclear facilities.

On Sunday, Trump posted on social media to ask “why wouldn’t there be a Regime change???”

His remarks came after other top US officials stressed that toppling Iran’s leaders was not the aim of Saturday’s military action, during which US bombers targeted three sites in an effort to curtail Tehran’s nuclear programme.

Trump’s taking Maga fire over ‘forever wars’, but the real battle awaits

“I’m the one that decides,” declared President Trump last week when asked by a reporter who gets to say what “America First” really means. Faced with a backlash from parts of his base over the prospect of the US supporting Israel in military action in Iran, the president said his word is final — “after all, I’m the one that developed America First” — adding that “the term wasn’t used until I came along”.

In fact, the phrase dates back to the First World War when Woodrow Wilson used the slogan to appeal to voters who wanted America to stay out of the conflict. (They didn’t get their wish.) The America First Committee was founded in 1940 to protest against US involvement in the Second World War, but gained notoriety after high-profile members such as the aviator Charles Lindbergh and the automotive tycoon Henry Ford led to a perception that it had antisemitic and pro-fascist sympathies.

A US Attorney discovers open immigration reality

During my law enforcement career, I never saw what one might reasonably describe as an obvious act of courage on the part of any attorney, prosecutor, or public defender. Their lives and jobs were insulated from the gritty reality of day-to-day police work. It was a reality they experienced from the comfort of office chairs and argued in climate-controlled, guarded courtrooms. Such was not the case for US Attorney John A Sarcone III of the Northern District of New York on June 17, 2025 in Albany, NY.

Scott Jennings Took an Ex-DNC Spokesperson to the Cleaners Over the Legality of Trump’s Iran Strikes

It happened: Operation Midnight Hammer was executed and took out Iranian nuclear facilities in Natanz, Isfahan, and Fordow last night. B-2 bombers took off from the continental United States to make the 18-hour journey to deliver their packages. It was glorious. The funny part at home is that Democrats likely know this was the right decision. It’s why the outcry, while loud with some folks, hasn’t been in unison, especially with top Democrats. As of now, I don’t believe Chuck Schumer has said anything.

Iran orders closure of Strait of Hormuz — putting one-fifth of world’s oil supply at risk

US Carrier Group – Strait of Hormuz

Iran’s parliament has voted to close the Strait of Hormuz, the vital shipping channel through which around 20% of the world’s daily oil flows.

The move, which could block $1 billion in oil shipments per day, is likely to send oil prices soaring.

It will come into effect pending a final decision by Iran’s Supreme Council.

What does striking Iran mean for Trump foreign policy — and his voters?

A Republican president enters a faraway war, despite questions about the intelligence underpinning the attack. America has been here before.

President Trump’s rise was, in part, the response of US voters to political leaders embroiling the military in unpopular foreign conflicts, especially the lengthy deployment to Iraq launched by a Republican predecessor, George W Bush, based on flimsy accounts of weapons of mass destruction.

“My proudest legacy will be that of a peacemaker and unifier,” Trump concluded in his inaugural address. “We will measure our success not only by the battles we win but also by the wars that we end — and perhaps most importantly, the wars we never get into.”

AOC, furious Dems call for Trump to be impeached over Iran strikes

Progressive Squad Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and a chorus of Democrats called on President Trump to be impeached after he decided to bomb top nuclear facilities of Iran — blasting the move as “unconstitutional.”

“The President’s disastrous decision to bomb Iran without authorization is a grave violation of the Constitution and Congressional War Powers,” Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) declared not long after Trump announced the attack.

What we know about US strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities

President Donald Trump says the US has carried out a “successful” bombing attack on three nuclear sites in Iran and said they have been “obliterated”.

Israel says they were in “full co-ordination” with the US in planning the strikes. Iranian officials have confirmed the facilities were struck but denied it had suffered a major blow.

The strikes mark a significant escalation in the ongoing war between Iran and Israel.

How Iran could retaliate after US strike

Ahead of Donald Trump’s strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities, his defence chiefs will have war-gamed possible retaliation.

Washington has put its 40,000 troops deployed in the Middle East, including in the United Arab Emirates, Jordan and Saudi Arabia, on high alert amid escalating tensions.

Now that America has attacked key Iranian nuclear sites with what is reported to be six bunker buster munitions, US defence chiefs will be bracing for a response.

Dearborn may as well be Tehran. The GTA is host to a strong network of SHIA Mosques.
