Chinese ‘underground bankers’ accused of aiding Mexican cartel

The US has accused a Chinese “underground banking” network of helping Mexico’s powerful Sinaloa drugs cartel with money laundering and other crimes.

The Department of Justice (DoJ) has charged 24 people with offences that also include distributing narcotics.

Law enforcement officers have seized about $5m (£4m) in proceeds, as well as guns and hundreds of pounds of cocaine, methamphetamine and ecstasy pills.

The DoJ touted the close co-operation with Mexican and Chinese law enforcement – a message that has been echoed on the Chinese side.

America’s worst-run city is revealed …

San Francisco has ranked as America’s worst-run city, thanks to its looming $1.4 billion budget deficit and social problems from homelessness to crime and cash-strapped public schools.

Researchers at WalletHub found that San Francisco was the worst-managed of all the 148 major cities assessed in its report, in a damning indictment of the administration of Mayor London Breed.

The personal finance website ranked other big-name cities among the lowest-performing ten.

Oh, You Thought This Was About Basketball?

The WNBA has always been a vehicle for left-wing activism. Caitlin Clark is learning that the hard way.

If you were under the illusion that the Women’s National Basketball Association was actually about basketball, the league’s reception of Caitlin Clark might strike you as bewildering. Clark began her professional basketball career in May amid an unprecedented amount of positive attention and energy, with all the makings of the first true WNBA superstar. But from the outset, the world of women’s basketball — both the players themselves and the broader ecosystem of journalists, media outlets, and activists who cover them — made no secret of its hostility to the 22-year-old phenom.

Shattered by Montreal Mind-Control Experiments, but Undeterred in a Suit

Families of patients in a Cold War-era mind-control experiment in Montreal are pressing forward after a recent setback in their class-action lawsuit.

Every weekend was an adventure for Julie Tanny when she was a young girl.

Her father, Charles, made sure of it, surprising his three children with trips and visits to the amusement park. His warmth radiated physically, too, when he would rub his children’s ice-cold feet back to life after a skate at their backyard rink in Montreal.

Dementia Joe told to sign off on policy granting legal status to 500,000 undocumented spouses

President Joe Biden is set to announce a new policy that would protect hundreds of thousands of undocumented spouses of US citizens from deportation, according to administration officials.

The issue of immigration has proven an election-year headache for Mr Biden, who recently issued a sweeping executive action to curb record migrant arrivals at the US-Mexico border.

The new policy will apply to those who have been in the country for at least 10 years and will allow them to work in the US legally.

As a Woman, I Deeply Resent Being Put at Risk From the Democrats’ Imported Monsters

Yes, women have always been at risk from men. In general, when a woman is murdered, it’s a romantic partner to blame. But the Democrats’ imported monsters have been responsible for nightmare scenarios as well: snatching random women who are going about their business off the street, dragging them out of sight, and brutalizing and killing them.

America Is Bringing Back the Draft

Soon, every man aged 18-26 in America could be forced to serve in the military. On June 14th, the House of Representatives passed H.R. 8070, which amends the National Defense Authorization Act with a mandate that

every male citizen of the United States, and every other male person residing in the United States, between the ages of eighteen and twenty-six, shall be automatically registered under this Act by the Director of the Selective Service System.

The law that Congress is in the process of amending is called “The Military Selective Service Act.” In practice, this amendment will make it mandatory for all young men in America to serve in the military, much like it was mandatory from 1940 to 1973.

Wondering About an October Surprise

An October surprise is coming, and earlier than October. Joe Biden — presuming he’s still the Democrats’ nominee — needs a big game changer. His approval rating is sliding south. Early voting — that’s legal early voting, for you blue state denizens — makes an August or September surprise worth watching for. Every four years, there’s lively speculation about what a president and his party will hatch to swing votes their way.

Israel, Free World, in Increasing Danger Thanks to U.S. ‘Help’

Last month, a video clip showing the capture of five female IDF soldiers by Hamas terrorists was released along with all the brutality of the terrorists, their intentions to rape and abuse these women, laid bare to see. Even so, the video is far less gruesome than other images of Hamas’s murders, torture, rapes and innumerable acts of barbarity on October 7, 2023. Those show what Hamas really is.

Hamas did shock the Western world for a few weeks, but the West quickly forgot. Demonstrations in support of Hamas began the day after the massacres, October 8, before the victims’ bodies were cold, and swept across the US, Australia and Europe. A wave of anti-Semitism not seen since World War II has accompanied the protests.

The attention of the mainstream media and Western politicians quickly turned from the slaughtered wounded and kidnapped Israelis to the Palestinian inhabitants of the Gaza Strip.

2 dead, 6 injured in shooting at Texas Juneteenth celebration: officials

Two people died and at least six others — including two children — were injured during a shooting at a Juneteenth festival in Texas Saturday night, officials said.

A fight between two groups broke out at around 10:50 p.m. during the Round Rock Juneteenth Celebration.

“During that altercation, someone produced a gun and began to fire,” Round Rock Police Chief Allen Banks said. “Multiple victims were hit.”

Gunman who shot 9 people — including 2 kids — at Michigan water park lived with mom, may have planned more attacks

The gunman who opened fire at a Michigan splash pad, wounding nine people — including two little kids , lived with his mother and suffered from mental health issues, authorities said.

Cops also revealed that he may have planned additional attacks before killing himself during a police standoff on Saturday.

Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard said there’s reason to believe that the Brooklands Plaza Splash Pad in Rochester Hills may not have been the gunman’s only target — and that the horrifying shooting in which an 8-year-old boy was critically wounded could have been dramatically worse.
