On a summer afternoon in Erie, Pennsylvania, Right Side Broadcasting Network host Matthew Alvarez was doing what the outlet does best: interviewing diehard supporters of former president Donald Trump before one of his raucous rallies, the WWE-style events that defined his 2016 sprint to the White House and continued after his 2020 election loss. At one point during his cheery canvass of the crowd, Alvarez pointed his microphone at a stocky man wearing a Trump 2024 baseball cap and a “Thin Blue Line” T-shirt. “Joe Biden is a disgrace to this country,” the man said in a thick drawl. “And so are all the left and the RINOs, the globalists, every one of ’em! Kill ’em all! Kill ’em all!”

“I agree with you on that,” Alvarez cautiously replied.

Women are now living nearly 6 years longer than men in the US

A new study has revealed the most significant US gender gap in life expectancy since 1996.

A team of scientists led by the University of California found women are now living 5.8 years longer than men – 0.2 years shy of the record.

The most significant contributor was the Covid pandemic, which took a disproportionate toll on men, followed by unintentional injuries and drug overdoses, accidents and suicide.

Ceasefire protest at Democrats’ national headquarters turns violent

Police and protesters clashed outside of the Democratic Party’s national headquarters on Wednesday, forcing dozens of lawmakers to be evacuated.

Officials said the pro-Palestinian organisers calling for a ceasefire in Gaza were gathered “illegally and violently”.

Protesters said they were provoked by police in riot gear who rushed them without warning.

Six officers were treated for injuries and a protester was arrested.

Ukraine charges officials tied to Hunter Biden probe and Russia

Three Ukrainians who aided the Donald Trump campaign’s efforts to discredit the Biden family have been charged with treason.

The 2019 drive was led by former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, who was Mr Trump’s personal lawyer at the time.

It centred on unproven allegations that Joe Biden had corrupt dealings with Ukraine as vice-president.

Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) said the three men charged were paid by Russian military intelligence (GRU).

This stinks.

Hamas supporters and Anti-Oil protesters clash with riot police as thousands descend on San Francisco to ‘shut down’ APEC summit

Hundreds of anti-oil, pro-Palestine protesters clashed with riot police outside the APEC summit in San Francisco ahead of president Biden and Chinese leader Xi Jinping’s widely anticipated meeting on Wednesday.

A motorcade of around ten vehicles was stuck in front of a human barricade as police officers in riot gear tried to control the crowd of demonstrators on Fifth Street near Mission.

The demonstrators, wearing yellow vests, tried to block people from attending the annual Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum and yelled at summit attendees who were stepping into the security zone.
