The Pressure Is On: Biden Has a Year To Pull Out a Success in Ukraine

Remember when your parents made you visit a cranky old person you never wanted to meet.

Everyone knows that a reasonable compromise is hovering over the war between Ukraine and Russia, so why are there no negotiations?

Some commentators have accused President Biden of invoking “the lessons of Munich,” in reference to the Ukraine War, and particularly of citing those lessons erroneously in his address to the United Nations last week. Meticulous scrutiny of his text discloses no reference to Munich or to the practice of “appeasement” in international relations.

Is America about to send special forces into Mexico?

Growing calls for US military to tackle migrant crisis and cartels amid chaos at border

America is facing record-breaking numbers of migrants from Latin America, Africa and beyond crossing the US/Mexico border by foot and by train creating an unenviable political task for Joe Biden as he heads into election season as all sides of the political spectrum call for action.

Donald Trump has called it in an ‘invasion’ and promised military action if he is reelected and other Republican frontrunners, including Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, have promised to send in troops to deal with Mexico’s drug cartels while Biden’s administration continues to scramble for solutions.

In the small border city of Eagle Pass, Texas, the city’s Democratic mayor has declared a state of emergency where last week it’s thought that 100,000 people waded through the Rio Grande, the river that flows between Mexico and the US, and into the town.

We Do Not Have a Broken Immigration System. We Have a Broken Enforcement System.

I am so sick of hearing that the United States has a “broken” immigration system. There is nothing wrong with America’s immigration system. It’s a system of laws passed by the people’s duly elected representatives that enables limited and orderly immigration. There are further limited exceptions for refugees fleeing legitimate persecution. It’s an honorable, decent, growth-enabling system.

Biden Promised Zelensky Long-Range ATACMS Missiles: Report

President Joe Biden reportedly told Volodymyr Zelensky during a White House meeting this week that the U.S. will send Ukraine long-range ATACMS missiles, amid growing questions about the continued funding of the war.

In addition to the $325 million military aid package, Biden reportedly pledged during a meeting with Zelensky on Thursday to supply the war-torn country with ATACMS missiles. The long-range missiles, which can hit targets up to 190 miles away, would represent a significant upgrade for the Ukrainian forces, which currently only have missiles capable of striking at a range of around 150 miles.

A red line too much?

The bad economic times have only just started

The Canadian economy is headed for a rough patch. Growth has already slowed considerably. Job growth has moderated. Inflation remains stubbornly high. But the pain households are feeling today is only going to get worse.

“The path forward looks bleak,” Tiago Figueiredo, a macro strategy associate with Desjardins, said in a note.

For a while there, the economy proved more resilient than expected. The Bank of Canada’s interest rate hikes piled up one after another. Even so, the jobs market boomed, GDP continued to expand.

Rough times? Not for our ruling class.

Granting legal status to Venezuelans won’t fix the problem

Scenes of chaos on the southern border of the United States have been a recurrent spectacle of the Biden administration. But in recent weeks, the challenge has become a lot worse: big cities and small towns across the country are experiencing a significant influx of migrants.

Thanks to the Policies of the Obama and Biden Administrations, the New Axis of Evil – Russia, China, North Korea, Iran – Posing a Worldwide Existential Threat

Not only is the Biden administration turning a blind eye on the growing alliance between Iran, Russia, China and North Korea, and looking the other way on their evasions of sanctions, it is also financing the ruling mullahs of Iran with billions of dollars to put the finishing touches on the country’s nuclear program and for delivering more weapons to Russia with which to attack Ukraine.

Eagle Pass mayor lays the blame for illegal crossing influx on Joe Biden

Eagle Pass Mayor Rolando Salinas Jr. said he believes “100%” that President Joe Biden is at fault for the recent increase in immigrants in his border town.

The city is on the banks of the Rio Grande and recently issued an emergency declaration over the 4,000 foreign nationals that illegally crossed the river between ports of entry and under the international bridge. It is set to expire in seven days from Thursday. Salinas was asked during an interview if he faulted Biden for the sudden increase.
