GM is moving production from Oshawa to Indiana. Here’s what they’re saying across the border

Rich LeTourneau is blunt as he sets down his beer on the union hall bar, located just a stone’s throw away from the General Motors plant in Fort Wayne, Ind. where he’s put in 38 years.

“I respect Canadian unions, I respect the Mexican union. We didn’t raise our hand and say … ‘I’ll take what you guys got.’ That decision was made way above our head,” he told CBC News.

“But when the company comes to me to increase volume, I’m not gonna tell them no, either, because it’s job security for my people, and hell, if I can corner the market, I will.”

Could be some job openings …

Trump and Hegseth ripped by ex-Pentagon staff for ‘condescending and insulting’ America’s top generals

General Gender Unicorn Milley

Donald Trump and Pete Hegseth were accused of ‘condescending and insulting’ America’s top generals and admirals at a highly anticipated summit on Tuesday.

The president and Secretary of War hosted hundreds of military chiefs at Marine Corps Base Quantico on Tuesday, for a meeting they hoped would inspire the nation and revolutionize America’s fighting force.

But ex-Pentagon chiefs warned that the political speeches, which meandered through various topics from fat soldiers to Joe Biden’s autopen, risked alienating the top brass.

Trump again floats Canada joining the U.S. as the 51st state

U.S. President Donald Trump said Tuesday he again told some unnamed Canadian official that the country should consider joining the U.S. as the 51st state — returning to the annexationist rhetoric he used earlier in the year and subsequently dropped after Prime Minister Mark Carney was elected.

Speaking to senior military officials at an event in Virginia, Trump said the U.S. is developing the Golden Dome missile defence system and Canada could be covered by it if the country becomes part of the States.

“Canada called me a couple of weeks ago. They want to be part of it. To which I said, well, why don’t you just join our country? Become 51, become the 51st state and you get it for free,” Trump said.

Canada has been deliberately weakened from within.

The immigration flood of incompatible cultures, criminalization of dissent, the denigration of our culture, heritage and values have all been done for a reason.

Our elites seek to rape Canada for their gain and their divide and conquer strategy is working to plan.

Choose your executioner – Death by our traitorous Elites or Annexation by the US.

Hegseth declares an end to ‘politically correct’ leadership in the US military

US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has slammed “fat generals” and diversity initiatives that he says has led to decades of decay in the military.

Mr Hegseth made the comments at a rare gathering of commanders on Tuesday, local time.

“Foolish and reckless political leaders set the wrong compass heading and we lost our way,” Mr Hegseth said as he kicked off the event in Quantico, Virginia.

“We became the ‘Woke Department’. But not anymore.”

McTEAGUE: To end the trade war, scrap the EV mandate

To anyone who thought that the Liberals’ decision to postpone enforcement of their Electric Vehicle (EV) mandate by one year was part of a well-thought-out plan to get that disastrous program back on track, well, every day brings with it news that you were wrong. In fact, the whole project seems to be coming apart at the seams.

U.S. Deports Planeload of Iranians After Deal With Tehran, Officials Say

The deportation flight to Iran is the most stark push yet by the Trump administration to deport migrants even to places with harsh human rights conditions.

The Trump administration is deporting a planeload of around 100 Iranians back to Iran from the United States, according to two senior Iranian officials involved in the negotiations and a U.S. official with knowledge of the plans.

Iranian officials said that the plane, a U.S.-chartered flight, took off from Louisiana on Monday night and was scheduled to arrive in Iran by way of Qatar sometime on Tuesday. And the U.S. official confirmed that plans for the flight were in the final stages. All the officials spoke to The New York Times on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss details publicly.

Eric Ham: Border issues a potential derailment to CUSMA extension

Recent testimony by FBI Director Kash Patel before the House Oversight Committee offers a window into what could be the central issue to potentially see the United States withdraw from Canada-U.S.-Mexico Free Trade agreement (CUSMA).

Responding to a question about the risk of terrorism posed by illegal border crossings from the north, Patel said that while there has been a drop in suspected terrorist crossings from the southern border, there has been an increase in crossings from the north.

The MAGA firebrand stated, “we need more focus on the northern border” suggesting terrorists are originating from China, Russia, the Middle East, and Africa.

Why Portland’s hipsters may secretly approve the National Guard

Donald Trump’s latest pledge to send the National Guard into Portland feels less like a response to a crisis and more like an unwanted sequel. The original deployment occurred in the summer of 2020, amid months of protests and recurring clashes near courthouses and police stations, some of which turned violent. The city saw a deadly incident that August when Michael Reinoehl, a self-proclaimed anti-fascist, shot and killed Aaron “Jay” Danielson, a member of the far-Right group Patriot Prayer. Reinoehl was subsequently killed by a US Marshals task force.

This time, the backdrop is far quieter: protests over ICE raids in 2025 are real but a fraction of the intensity of the George Floyd era. Plus, there are signs that Portland, like other blue cities, has quietly begun its own course correction.

LA tourism slumps with Canadian traffic falling 32% in the three months of Summer.

‘They just don’t come’: What’s making L.A.’s tourism tumble

Months of negative news have triggered a tough summer for tourism in Los Angeles, deepening the economic woes for a city buffeted by natural disasters and immigration raids.

Tourist arrivals fell by close to 10% this season, according to the latest numbers from Visit California.

… Of all the state’s international travelers, the most significant absence was from Canadian tourists. Arrivals from visitors from up north fell 32% in the three months of Summer.

You’ll note that Trump policies are to blame for everything, except the fires but I’m sure they’re working on that.

No mention that LA is a hopelessly mismanaged crime ridden gangsters paradise with a huge homeless problem and its signature industry is fleeing the city and state.

The US navy killed 17 in deadly strikes. Now Venezuela is giving civilians guns

Maduro Volkssturm

When Edith Perales was younger, he enlisted in the National Bolivarian Militia, a civilian force created by the late President Hugo Chávez in 2009 to help defend Venezuela.

“We have to be a country capable of defending every last inch of our territory so no one comes to mess with us,” Chávez said at the time.

Sixteen years on, Perales, who is now 68, is joining thousands of other militia members getting ready for a potential US attack.

The virtue of America First

Sovereign realism is the future

For more than 30 years, Washington pursued a strategy built on globalist illusions: that America could serve as the policeman of the world, that it could enlarge Nato endlessly, extend security guarantees without limit, and launch interventions to remake societies in its image. These projects — sold under the pretext of the “rules-based international order” — have drained their strength while hollowing out the republic.

The Impact of Illegal Aliens Holding Commercial Driver’s Licenses

Fox News – A California father says Gov. We never received a call back. We never received a ‘governor’s going to look into this.’ We didn’t receive anything,” Marcus Coleman told “America’s Newsroom” Thursday.
