You know, you think after a certain amount of time, the Left would have the wherewithal to look closely at its ranks and purge them of the human sewage that swims through their population like the proverbial corn-eyed sewer trout (stercore pisces). But as has been proven time and again, the Left will overlook quite a bit as long as someone is mouthing the right slogans. The sheriff’s deputies in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan? Well, not so much.

The country where having a pet could soon land you in jail

“He looks at me with his innocent and beautiful eyes. He is asking me to take him out for a walk, but I don’t dare. We will get arrested.”
Mahsa, who has a dog, is referring to a new wave of arrests of pet owners and seizures of their animals in the Iranian capital, Tehran.
Police there recently announced that walking dogs in parks was a crime. The ban was justified as a measure to “protect the safety of the public”.

‘It’s a mess and I’ve never seen anything like it’: global lost luggage crisis mounts

When Jenn Choi packed her and her family’s bags she feared for the worst. After hearing horror stories of checked airline luggage going permanently missing, she purchased tracking devices for her suitcases to ensure she would not have to rely on a critically understaffed aviation industry facing what could be its worst meltdown in history.
Lo and behold, all three of the bags containing the possessions of the self-help coach, her husband and their one-year-old child remained almost 10,000km (6,200 miles) away in Germany when they arrived in Cancun, Mexico, last week.
CONCERNS as CONVOY-CONNECTED group establishes in Ottawa neighbourhood

The stark red banners hanging from St. Brigid’s church on Saint Patrick Street are nearly impossible to miss; the white insignia of a tree adorned with maple leaves offering neighbours little indication as to who is behind the new developments at the deconsecrated church.
The group is known as The United People of Canada, a self-described federally incorporated “not-for-profit social enterprise organization.”
Corporate documents show three members on the group’s board of directors: Kimberley Ward, William Komer, and Diane Nolan.
I like how they canvas a guy named Mohamed for his degree of “concern.”
With monkeypox spreading globally, many experts believe it can’t be contained

It has been a mere nine weeks since the United Kingdom announced it had detected four cases of monkeypox, a virus endemic only in West and Central Africa. In that time, the number of cases has mushroomed to nearly 13,000 in over 60 countries throughout Europe, North and South America, the Middle East, new parts of Africa, South Asia, and Australia.
The growth in cases and the geographic spread has been rapid and relentless.

Vatican tells its money men: you’re banned from investing in guns and porn
The Vatican will not invest in pornography or weapons under a new ethical investment policy that is part of Pope Francis’ efforts to clean up the Catholic Church following a series of scandals.
While there is no suggestion the Vatican currently has money in porn or other unholy industries, the new rules are an attempt to establish tougher principles and oversight in Vatican finances, where management has been chaotic and amateurish.

Police say they don’t want to ‘create panic’ as up to 1,000 Hells Angels roll through Ontario

Police east of Toronto say they are expecting to see as many as 1,000 Hells Angels members as the club holds its national motorcycle run this weekend.
“We do not want to create panic,” Durham Regional Police Service Deputy Chief Dean Bertrim said at a news conference Monday ahead of the event. “But we have an obligation, and in all fairness, I have a responsibility, to make sure that our community is aware and provided the accurate information.”
Fewer shootings than in Toronto expected.

They’re not clowning around.
The Russian embassy in Switzerland sent a legal threat to a Swiss newspaper after the outlet published a caricature of President Vladimir Putin wearing a clown nose and rainbow streaks across his face, according to reports.
