U.S. bill calls for more integration between Canadian, American border agents

The U.S. Congress is being asked to adopt legislation that could lead to Canada and the United States further integrating their enforcement of the border — including allowing U.S. officers to more freely operate on Canadian soil.

House Resolution 5518, introduced by New York Republican Rep. Nicholas Langworthy, calls on U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem to “negotiate or amend existing agreements with the Government of Canada, as appropriate, for integrated cross-border aerial, maritime and land law enforcement operations.”

The bill also calls for U.S. officers to operate in Canada, and for Canadian officers to operate in the U.S., “for the purpose of enhancing border security or law enforcement co-operation or operations, including for the purposes of conducting operations in the land, air and maritime domain.”

The Elbow people will be incensed.

Did You Catch Nancy Pelosi’s Train Wreck Interview on CNN?

Nancy Pelosi’s appearance on CNN on Wednesday was nothing short of a trainwreck. The former House Speaker sat down with Dana Bash and delivered such a terrible performance that even the CNN anchor had to repeatedly correct her and push back on statements that simply didn’t align with reality. It was the kind of interview that leaves people wondering whether someone is fit to remain in public office, and Pelosi did herself no favors with her rambling, contradictory answers.

L.A. County considers declaring state of emergency to fight back against ICE raids

As the Trump administration continues its immigration crackdown in Southern California, the L.A. County Board of Supervisors is considering issuing a state of emergency to provide the board with more power to assist those affected by the deluge of detainments and deportations.

“This escalation [in raids] puts thousands of our neighbors in extreme peril, so I believe we need to act now,” said Supervisor Lindsey Horvath, asserting that the declaration is necessary “to give us every tool available to fight back.”

California is determined to destroy itself.

White beaver proves racism is part of Canada’s DNA

Rare white beaver wows Ottawa-area wildlife watchers

On a river near Perth, Ont., a boatload of wildlife photographers silently stalked their quarry on a recent fall evening.

With an electric trolling motor providing propulsion, the water remained millpond-flat as they glided upstream. But then a splash rang out like a shot as their target’s tail slapped the water and the creature dove beneath the surface.

The mythical white beaver had smelled them.

NB Seafood Company Fined $1M for Foreign Worker Program Violation

A New Brunswick seafood processing company has been fined $1 million and banned from using a government program to hire foreign workers for failing to comply with federal and provincial labour laws.

Bolero Shellfish Processing Inc., located in Saint-Simon, N.B., received the maximum financial penalty on Sept. 17 for failing to offer appropriate wages and working conditions and for “failing to provide a workplace that was free of abuse,” Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) said in a statement. The company also received a 10-year ban from taking part in the temporary foreign worker (TFW) program.

Jews for Mamdani? Jews Against Tommy Robinson?

From New York to London, progressive Jews are betraying their coreligionists’ interests.

Two years after the atrocities of October 7, 2023, it looks as if Zohran Mamdani, a previously obscure New York State assemblyman who became a U.S. citizen in 2018 (he remains a citizen of Uganda, where he was born) and who somehow manages to be both a Communist and a radical Muslim, will be elected mayor of New York City in November. Among other things, Mamdani looks fondly upon jihadist terrorism, hates Israel, calls it an apartheid state, supports Palestinians, considers Israel’s war in Gaza an act of genocide, supports the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions movement, and has said he would arrest Benjamin Netanyahu if he set foot in New York. In 2017, Mamdani put out a rap song celebrating the leaders of the Holy Land Foundation, an ally of Hamas.

Greta Thunberg’s hypocrisy: Flag-kissing is torture but Hamas burning babies alive is fine

Greta Thunberg now says Israel “severely tortured” her — by forcing her to kiss an Israeli flag.

Yes, that’s her claim. Kissing the flag of the only democracy in the Middle East is, in her mind, torture.

The absurdity would almost be funny if it weren’t such a slap in the face to real victims of torture and terror — especially the innocent people who were burned, raped, and slaughtered by Hamas on October 7th.

But wait there’ more …

Creditors circle as cull controversy shines light on B.C. ostrich farmers’ unpaid bills

After chasing debts through the courts, creditors of a high-profile ostrich farm in southeastern B.C. are hoping the Canada Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) will help them recoup hundreds of thousands of dollars in the event of a cull.

CFIA wants to destroy more than 300 birds belonging to Universal Ostrich Farms Inc., located in Edgewood, B.C., nearly nearly 100 kilometres east of Kelowna, because of the threat of avian flu, which was detected in some of the animals last December.
