The Flesh-Eating Screwworm Will Enrich America

Big on diversity

In a stunning milestone for diversity, the first flesh-eating screwworm infested human entered the United States from either Guatemala, El Salvador or some other downtrodden country.

The widely misunderstood ‘New World Screwworm Fly’ is a mostly peaceful parasite whose females lay eggs in open wounds and their larvae, referred to intolerantly by some as ‘maggots’, then use their sharp mouth hooks to eat their way through the host, while feeding on his tissues in what some DEI experts are calling a pointed critique of rapacious capitalism.

Jesse Kline: Ottawa spent $1.5B and all I got was this over-priced Gem streaming service

Since it launched in 2018, CBC’s Gem streaming service has been a slap in the face to Canadians. Ottawa takes around $1.5 billion a year out of our pockets, ostensibly so the public broadcaster can provide reliable news and support the domestic film industry, but if Canadians want to watch CBC News Network without a cable package, or tax-funded programming without ads, they have to fork over an additional $5.99 a month.

The Demons Have Taken Hold of Minneapolis

We’ve seen the demonic advance throughout our culture over the past decade and more.

On Wednesday morning, the students at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis were attending a Mass in the church next to the school when, suddenly, the stained-glass windows were shattered by a hail of gunfire.

The fusillade didn’t stop immediately. Witnesses said that between 50 and 100 bullets were pumped into the church, injuring at least 15 of the students badly enough to send them to the hospital and killing an 8-year-old and a 10-year-old.

Ontario premier Doug Ford’s party spent nearly $300,000 on novelty ‘Canada is not for sale’ hats

Dealing with the unprecedented threats from Donald Trump’s threats to Canada’s economy and sovereignty have required unconventional strategies from federal and provincial leaders, including barring liquor sales and cancelling contracts with Tesla.

But among the more unorthodox strategies to hit back against the US is spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on novelty hats.

In January, sensing a marketing opportunity after Trump threatened to annex Canada, an Ottawa-based company began selling hats with the message “Canada is not for sale” in capital letters. Days later, Ontario premier Doug Ford – a blunt-spoken, burly populist with a knack for politics – entered a high-stakes meeting with other premiers and the prime minister wearing the hat. The move kicked off a frenzy of online orders and created a rare moment of political consensus.

Police warn over misinformation after incident involving Dundee girl, 12

Police Scotland have warned the public not to share misinformation about an incident in Dundee involving a 12-year-old girl after online speculation was amplified by Elon Musk.

Scotland’s first minster has also accused the multibillionaire X owner of undermining community cohesion.

A 12-year-old girl was charged with being in possession of offensive weapons after an incident in which a Bulgarian couple were approached by young people in St Ann Lane, Dundee, on Saturday evening.

Damn, that was such a great meme too.

Zombie Knives Don’t Kill People, but Banning Them Kills Liberty

In July, 25-year-old Brit Sam Jacques had his home searched and was charged with possession of a knife—in his own home—and was fined the equivalent of about $900. The knife fit the criteria of a category called a “zombie-style knife” and was therefore illegal in the United Kingdom, even though there was no evidence of wrongdoing or evidence that Jacques had any intention to harm anyone.

The Americans are selling Canadian natural gas to Europe at a profit

Amid growing criticisms that Canada dropped the ball on exporting its natural gas to Europe, the Polish ambassador to Canada said in a recent interview that plenty of Canadian gas is indeed finding its way to Europe — but via the United States at a markup.

“Remember; some of the LNG that’s coming from the United States to Europe, to Poland, is also Canadian … but it’s being sold for a much higher price,” Witold Dzielski told CBC after being asked whether there was Polish demand for Canadian LNG.

Dark Money Is Funding Democrat Influencers

First of all, and unfortunately in my view, a lot of Democrat-aligned influencers built their audiences the old-fashioned way–by building a following by saying what they think. I’ve not looked deeply into any particular “influencer,” but I don’t automatically assume that all of them are paid shills.

No doubt he internalized the White Man’s racism

Man charged in alleged hate-motivated assault against gas station attendant in Markham, Ont.

Officials say the suspect walked into the business and allegedly made derogatory comments about the victim’s turban before pointing his middle finger at the gas station attendant while “making hateful remarks.”

Police allege the suspect also threw money and spat on the victim, as well as made a “threatening punching motion” towards them.

On Wednesday, investigators identified the suspect as Farhad Marounisi, of Markham, and brought him into custody. Marounisi is facing an assault charge.

He disliked the guy’s turban does that make it a Hat Crime?

In Boston, Trucks Keep Crashing Into Low Bridges

BOSTON—For years, the largest city in New England has wrestled with a problem that seems easily fixable: People keep crashing tall trucks into low bridges.

Nobody knows this better than the team at Trillium Brewing.

Almost a decade ago, the local brewery launched its Storrowed beer, named after the local term for the frequent incidents along Storrow Drive. The seasonal double IPA was meant to be a public-service announcement to warn drivers against wedging box trucks under low-clearance bridges.
