David Suzuki accused of misleading image use to raise donations

Eight residents in northeast British Columbia have filed complaints with the Canadian Federal Competition Bureau, accusing the David Suzuki Foundation of misuse of imagery in anti-natural gas campaigns.

The residents allege a two-decade old photo — showing natural gas wells in Wyoming — was falsely portrayed a current development in B.C.’s Montney formation, a major gas-producing region.

Jamie Sarkonak: Liberal-funded charity stops Alberta from protecting minors from gender ideology

Until further notice, transgender medical treatments for minors will continue in Alberta.

In December, Alberta amended its Health Professions Act to prohibit doctors from prescribing hormone therapy and puberty-suppressing drugs to minors in the course of treating gender-related psychological disorders. The law hadn’t come into force, however, and the government was planning to release an order allowing exceptions to the rule.

Elon Musk’s company removes posts praising Hitler from Grok chatbot

Elon Musk’s company xAI removed social media posts by its chatbot on Tuesday after complaints from X users and the Anti-Defamation League that it had produced content with antisemitic stereotypes and praise for Adolf Hitler.

The Grok chatbot, which answers questions from users on Musk’s X social media platform, had produced some “inappropriate” responses which had to be deleted, the company said.

Donald Trump claims he threatened to “bomb the s— out of Moscow” if Russia invaded Ukraine during his first term, according to new leaked audio.

“With Putin I said: ‘If you go into Ukraine, I’m going to bomb the s— out of Moscow. I’m telling you I have no choice’,” Mr Trump told a group of donors before last year’s presidential election.

“And then [Putin] goes, like, ‘I don’t believe you’. But he believed me 100 per cent.”
