Police arrest 11 Hamas supporters at CANSEC military trade show

Ottawa Police said they arrested 11 protesters outside of the CANSEC military trade show Wednesday morning.

The Ottawa Police Service’s public order unit cleared demonstrators around 10:30 a.m. after the police liaison team “made numerous attempts to have the protestors cooperate,” OPS wrote on the social media site X.

Anti-Japanese Museum in Canada Draws Criticism from Lawmakers

On May 27, 2025, Liberal Democratic Party lawmaker Masahisa Sato raised concerns in the House of Councillors Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee over a museum in Canada run by a Chinese-Canadian organization. It was not the first time he had done so. The museum, he said, conspicuously promotes anti-Japanese narratives through exhibits shown to large numbers of local high school students. He first raised the issue at an April 17 committee session.

According to those familiar with the matter, the museum in question opened in June 2024 in Toronto, Ontario. Called the Asia Pacific Peace Museum, it was reportedly spearheaded by a local Chinese-Canadian organization called Alpha Education. Its exhibits include references prominently reflecting China’s viewpoint on the Nanjing Incident and comfort women.

Fact: Japan was a brutal aggressor that committed war crimes on a massive scale in China.

Their treatment of allied prisoners of war while inhuman pales in comparison to the Rape of Nanking and other grotesqueries. 

China went communist and the west needed allies post WW II so Japan’s atrocities were largely swept under the rug. 

But why does Toronto have to have a Museum dedicated to this war?

Has it become fashionable that all ethnic groups rekindle their historic blood-feuds here in the Magic Kingdom of Multiculturalism and Diversity?

Or is this just more ChiCom feckery?

Prince Harry flies from LA to Shanghai to promote greener travel

Prince Harry has made a surprise visit to China to give a speech highlighting the importance of sustainable travel.

The Duke of Sussex made the long-haul trip to Shanghai to remind travel industry executives of the urgency to meet “vital climate and conservation targets by 2030”.

He was invited to a tourism conference in his capacity as the founder of Travalyst, a sustainable travel organisation whose motto is “changing the way we travel, for good”.

Obama’s female secret service staff caught in shameful brawl outside his DC mansion

Shocking footage captured the moment two female Secret Service agents fought with each other outside former President Barack Obama’s $8 million DC mansion.

The altercation unfolded May 21 at around 2:30am as the former president’s security detail grappled next to a police vehicle.

In audio before the fight shared by RealClearPolitics reporter Susan Crabtree, one of the Secret Service agents was reportedly heard calling for a supervisor as she threatened to attack her colleague.

On Sunday, members of STRIVE (Standing for Trans Rights, Inclusion and Visibility Everywhere) marched from Marble Arch to Downing Street to protest against last month’s Supreme Court ruling, which confirmed that sex is defined as biological for the purposes of equality law. Banaz Mahmod was aged 20 when she was killed on the orders of her father Mahmod Mahmod and uncle Ari Mahmod after she left an abusive arranged marriage.

Other family members and friends were recruited to carry out the murder and she was raped by three of her cousins before being strangled.

In the recent federal election, the Liberals and Conservatives both campaigned on lowering income taxes to ease the burden on working- and middle-class Canadians. Sure enough, an income tax cut is planned for July 1st.

This focus on tax cuts raises the question: how much of a burden are income taxes on the typical Canadian?

The “typical Canadian”—defined as the median income earner—is currently taxed at an average of just over 17 percent (federal plus provincial). The upcoming tax cut will decrease that by about half a percentage point, bringing it to just under 17 percent.
