Paris cafés caught cheating tourists with cheap wine

Cafés and bistros in Paris are cheating customers by replacing quality wine with lower-cost alternatives when they serve by the glass, and tourists in particular are on the losing end of the swaps.

Few customers notice the difference when a premium chablis ordered from the wine menu and selling at about €9 a glass is swapped for a sauvignon costing about €5, an investigation by Le Parisien newspaper has found.

Report: Thanks To DEI, Most Medical Schools Now Teach Doctors To Damage Patients

Speech First has uncovered records from more than 50 public medical schools across 46 states, revealing that these institutions are training left-wing advocates who prioritize race in treatment, promote gender identities contrary to biology, and downplay obesity’s health risks. As its report shows, under the guise of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), medical schools enforce conformity to leftist ideologies, such as labeling all white men as racists or disconnecting gender from biological sex. It also shows that free speech is on life support, with dissenters of these ideas and practices facing far-reaching consequences.

How the fun police came for your holiday

Oppressive rules are being imposed in some of the world’s biggest tourism spots. Whatever happened to letting your hair down?

Aren’t holidays supposed to be about having fun? If that question seems too obvious for a serious travel article, you’ve clearly missed the barrage of spirit-crushing rules emanating from some of the world’s most successful tourism spots in recent years, as destinations across the world turn their backs on the good-time crowd.

Just look at the Balearic Islands, which have spent much of the past few years looking for inventive ways to clamp down on boozy travellers, including restricting so-called party boats and banning alcohol sales between certain hours. Last year the Spanish government even began a new initiative to gather data on the worst nationalities for drunkenness and send school-report style missives to their respective embassies.

State of emergency declared as panic-buying sweeps blackout-hit Spain and Portugal with shelves emptied, gridlock overwhelming cities and flights cancelled

Spain has declared a state of emergency after a nationwide power blackout hit most of the Iberian peninsula, leaving roads gridlocked and prompting people to clear supermarket shelves amid fears the chaos could last for days.

Spain’s Interior Ministry on Monday added the emergency status will be applied in the regions that request it.

So far, Madrid, Andalusia and Extremadura have asked for the central government to take over public order and other functions.

Could renewable energy be to blame for huge Spain blackout?

Unisex lavatories risk ‘discrimination against biological women’

The EHRC has warned shops, pubs, restaurants and cafés that after the Supreme Court ruling, failure to provide single-sex facilities may leave them open to legal challenge

Shops, pubs, restaurants and cafés which fail to provide single-sex lavatories may be committing “indirect discrimination” against women, the equality watchdog has warned.

The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) said that transwomen — biological males — should no longer be allowed to use women’s facilities, including lavatories and changing rooms, after a Supreme Court ruling.

The ruling could lead businesses to convert single-sex lavatories into unisex facilities to ensure provision for transgender people.
