English Heritage claims Easter is not originally Christian

English Heritage has claimed that Easter was not originally Christian.

The charity is accused of “whitewashing” the holiday by claiming its roots lie in a pagan festival celebrating the start of Spring.

A booklet about Easter’s origins given out at several of its historic sites says that the word comes from the name of the goddess Eostre while failing to mention Christianity at all.

Dozens of illegal magic mushroom dispensaries operating in major Canadian cities with no guardrails: study

More than 50 shops selling illegal magic mushrooms are operating in major cities in Canada and most of them make unsubstantiated health claims that could cause harm, according to a study by Canadian researchers published last week.

Of the 57 dispensaries found selling psilocybin as of May last year, 55 were located in Ontario or British Columbia, with 35 in the Toronto area and 15 around Vancouver. Hamilton had four and the Ottawa-Gatineau area had six.

So should we all just adopt an illegal side hustle to help pay the bills? No repercussions are evident.

As WorldPride DC approaches, international LGBTQ+ groups voice concerns

WorldPride, the LGBTQ+ festival celebrating “diversity, equality and love on a global scale,” is expected to bring 2 to 3 million people to Washington beginning May 17. But a number of international groups, worried about the Trump administration’s attacks on diversity, inclusion and equity efforts and its targeting of transgender rights in the United States, say they are planning to stay away.

The executive director of the Capital Pride Alliance, which is hosting the 23-day WorldPride festival, says he doesn’t blame them.

Transgender Contestant With Criminal History Withdraws From Miss Georgia USA Competition

When Bella Bautista, who identifies as transgender, announced in February that he would be competing in the Miss Georgia USA pageant, he went on a press tour of sorts to trumpet his participation.

In an interview with Rough Draft Atlanta, Bautista spoke about how his participation would be subversive.

“I’m going into a space where I’m not sure how the treatment or reaction is going to be, but all I can hope for and pray for is that I’m treated equally and I’m scored fairly,” Bautista said.

Have Germany’s insult laws gone too far?

The list of penalties for insulting people in Germany reads like a classic Mastercard advert. Displaying your middle finger to a fellow motorist: €600 to €4,000. Using the informal version of the word “you” to a police officer: €600. Calling someone a “wanker”: €1,000.

To all this, a growing number of Germans are inclined to add that upholding freedom of expression is priceless.

Coachella descends into ‘CHAOS’ as attendees brand it ‘worst in history’ and demand refunds before gates open

Coachella appears to have already descended into ‘chaos’ with dozens of attendees already branding it ‘the worst in history’ and comparing it to the disastrous Fyre Festival – despite doors not even officially being open.

The iconic music festival held in California, which runs across two weekends every year, will open its gates later today to a sea of A-list celebrities and ticketholders.

But car campers have taken to social media in their droves this morning to relay the carnage in the car parks.

This and Burning Man seem to have lost their cache.

Top secret American plan to turn soldiers gay

The US Air Force once made plans for a ‘gay bomb’ that would use chemical aphrodisiacs to make enemy soldiers ‘irresistibly attractive to one another.’

The bizarre plan, formulated by the military’s Wright Laboratory in 1994, was part of a six-year non-lethal weapons development project costing $7.5 million that was ultimately scrapped.

A three-page document obtained by the Sunshine Project, an anti-biological weapons organization, details the laboratory’s proposal for a bomb ‘that contained a chemical that would cause enemy soldiers to become gay.’

The Left’s Heaven is Actually Hell

Hands Off Everything Evil

Unfortunately for the “Hands Off” protestors, America has not forgotten what happened when they were in charge.

The Left’s vision of heaven is everyone else’s idea of hell. This is the conclusion that can be drawn from last weekend’s “Hands Off” rally and the Left’s hands-on approach in the locales they have governed over the last few years. As the Left becomes angrier and more militant, expect them to only reinforce this conclusion.
