Carney’s Dad Referred To Aboriginal Children As Culturally Retarded

Untangling Mark Carney’s father’s ties to Fort Smith, N.W.T., Indian day school

“Mr. Carney, at the teachers conference not long ago, you told about a program you have working at the Joseph B. Tyrrell (JBT) school in Fort Smith for culturally retarded children,” the host began. “First of all, would you define a culturally retarded child for me?”

The reply was unequivocal and direct.

“A culturally retarded child in the context of the Northwest Territories is a child from a Native background who for various reasons has not been in regular attendance in school,” said Carney.

Meghan Murphy: Liberals feign outrage over Poilievre’s truth about biological clocks

Canadian Liberals performed a traditional dance of outrage on X this week, reminiscent of Twitter circa 2015. There was even a hashtag — #WomenAgainstPoilievre — despite the fact X owner Elon Musk told users hashtags had become irrelevant in December.

What was the apparent offence that caused legions of Liberals and social media commentators to post things like, “This is unbelievable in this day and age,” “Gilead Pierre wants to regulate ovaries” and “Imagine being a Woman and voting for this garbage. Ew!”

Trump’s Fight Against Antisemitism Has Become Fraught for Many Jews

Jewicidal Rabbi

American Jews have watched with both alarm and enthusiasm as strong-arm tactics, including arrests of activists, have been deployed in their name.

Rabbi Sharon Brous was growing increasingly alarmed at the Trump administration’s strong-arm tactics, like its attacks on higher-education funding and bullying of law firms, all in the name of protecting Jews.

So early last month, she delivered an impassioned sermon titled “I Am Not Your Pawn” to her Los Angeles congregation. Hours later, the next shoe dropped. Immigration agents began detaining activists and foreign students who had been involved in pro-Palestinian protests.

“This is not going to protect Jews,” Rabbi Brous said in an interview. “We’re being used.”

You just can’t please some people.

Trapped with a Tesla: my dream car has become a living nightmare

After our children left home, my wife and I decided to treat ourselves and buy a new car for a driving holiday in Europe. We’d been driving a family estate car for years, loading it up with kids and making trips to and from universities, but we wanted something for ourselves.

As a surprise, she booked a test drive for the Tesla Model S for my birthday. It was unlike any car I’d been in before. I thought “Wow, this is amazing.” It felt like the future: a computer on wheels that was constantly updating with new features. I can’t say I feel that way now – and many people seem to share that view. Tesla sales figures declined by 13% in the first few months of this year. Others feel even more uneasy: more than 200 demonstrations happened last weekend outside company facilities around the world to protest against Elon Musk and the wrecking ball he has taken to the federal government.

Poilievre’s agenda is radically different than Carney’s and it’s frightening says woman who thought Hugo Chavez was the Cat’s Pajamas

A deeply flawed argument has slipped into the national election conversation.

It goes like this: there isn’t much policy difference between front-runners Mark Carney and Pierre Poilievre, so it really comes down to who can best handle Donald Trump.

True, handling the U.S. president is job one and polls show Carney more trusted on this file. But the first part of the argument — that the two men have similar policies — is fundamentally wrong and dangerously misleading.

It’s true what they say about progressives every accusation is a confession.
