Avian Flu Has Hit Dairies So Hard That They’re Calling It ‘Covid for Cows’

A fast-growing outbreak of avian flu has upended California’s dairy industry, the nation’s largest producer of milk, infecting most of the state’s herds and putting thousands of farmworkers at risk for contracting the virus.

In just about four months, cows in 645 dairies in California have tested positive for H5N1, even as many ranchers have taken strict precautions to stop the virus from spreading. Gov. Gavin Newsom was concerned enough Wednesday that he declared a state of emergency over the outbreak in California.

The virus is spreading so quickly that dairy farmers are calling it “Covid for cows,” and scientists are racing to figure out how to stop the contagion.

They really want that pandemic.

Generation Z now openly supports terrorism

A plurality of young Americans now openly support terrorism. Yes, seriously. This sounds like right-wing alarmism or hyperbole, but it’s just reality, as revealed by a disturbing new poll.

For context, popular internet personalities responded to the cold-blooded murder of a healthcare CEO by celebrating and even sexualizing the alleged killer, Luigi Mangione. But observers had no way of knowing how widespread this sentiment was and how much of it was meant at least partially in jest.

Columbus did not take syphilis to the Americas – he brought it back to Europe

When a mysterious flesh-rotting disease broke out in Europe in 1495, two years after Christopher Columbus returned from the Americas, suspicion fell on his crew.

Syphilis was soon rampant across the Continent and beyond, but its origins continued to be fiercely debated, with some historians claiming it was actually home-grown.

Now, scientists have carried out genetic testing on the bones of infected people from Chile, Peru, Mexico and Argentina, who lived between the 13th and 15th centuries and died before Columbus arrived.

Gun group ridicules plan to send confiscated pistols, rifles and grenade launchers to Ukraine

The Canadian military says Ukraine has requested pistols, military-style rifles and grenade launchers removed from public ownership as part of the Liberal government’s firearms ban.

But a firearms lobby group is ridiculing the government for the proposal that would turn over confiscated weapons to Ukraine. The Canadian Coalition for Firearm Rights points out that civilian gun stores were never allowed to sell grenade launchers in the first place and that only small quantities of firearms desired by Ukraine actually remain in Canada.

Police failed to spot ‘extreme nationalist sentiment’ before riots

Police forces failed to understand the “extreme nationalist sentiment and aggravated activism” in numerous precursor events before riots broke out after the Southport stabbings, the policing inspectorate has said.

At least 302 officers were “pummelled and battered” when violent disorder flared in parts of England when Bebe King, six, Elsie Dot Stancombe, seven, and Alice da Silva Aguiar, nine, were fatally stabbed at a Taylor Swift-themed dance class in the Merseyside town on July 29.

They also failed to spot Grooming Gangs, massive Hamas rallies, migrant crime waves and an illegal alien invasion but carry on.

Biden-Harris Regime Launches ‘National Strategy to Combat Islamophobia’

You’ll be relieved to know that even as time is running out for the Biden-Harris regime, White House apparatchiks are still hard at work for the American people, dealing with the real problems that affect our day-to-day lives. On Thursday, the regime happily announced the launch of what it billed as “the first-ever U.S. National Strategy to Counter Islamophobia and Anti-Arab Hate.” Now that’s just super, as everyone who knows how important it is for the government to police people’s attitudes and make sure they don’t commit thoughtcrimes, but the initiative, especially coming in these last days of the regime, raises more questions than it answers. The primary question is: why are Biden-Harris wonks launching policy initiatives? Unless the left throws us a massive curve on Jan. 6 or sometime before Jan. 20, which is possible but unlikely, the Biden-Harris regime has just under five weeks left before it is consigned to the dustbin of history. Are five weeks enough to stamp out “Islamophobia,” which the left has been whining about since even before 9/11? Or does the regime intend to give deep state bureaucrats marching orders that it will follow, under the radar, during the incoming Trump administration? Or is the whole thing just grandstanding?
