How German ‘party princess’ became darling of US hard right

From hosting Supreme Court justices to courting controversy with Nigel Farage, Princess Gloria von Thurn und Taxis has become a conservative flag-waver

There was a time when Gloria von Thurn und Taxis was known as “Princess TNT, the dynamite socialite” for her hedonistic lifestyle and punk haircut.

She made headlines for barking on David Letterman’s talk show, being caught in possession of hashish at an airport, and counting among her friends a singer who also had a royal title, Prince.

Today, however, the party is over for a woman who married Germany’s richest aristocrat when she was 20 and he was 53.

Liberal House leader calls Poilievre a ‘fraudster’ and a ‘bully’ as Commons returns

Liberal House leader Karina Gould kicked off the fall sitting of Parliament Monday by calling Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre a “fraudster” and a “bully” and accusing him of holding a secret agenda that Canadians won’t like.

“What I heard yesterday from Mr. Poilievre was so over the top, so irresponsible, so immature and something only a fraudster would do,” Gould said Monday in Ottawa.

Gee, Justin never told us he was going to flood the nation with 3rd world migrants and destroy our economic and social well being.

1st teen monster sentenced in Kenneth Lee murder case gets off with virtually no consequences for her viciously demented actions

The first teenager to be sentenced in the death of a Toronto homeless man will not face further time in custody and instead participate in a community-based program.

The girl, who pleaded guilty to manslaughter and was 13 at the time of the December 2022 attack on Kenneth Lee, was credited for 15 months of effective pre-trial custody and will serve another 15 months of probation under an Intensive Support and Supervision Program, which is designed as an alternative to custody for young people who have been diagnosed with mental health disorders.

In Massachusetts, self-defense is off limits

It seems that in Middlesex county, Massachusetts in the ultra-liberal town of Newton, self-defense has become illegal. Even if one is violently attacked by a terrorist supporter who seeks the destruction of America and praises the murder of Americans by terrorist organizations, they cannot protect themselves from that person who attacks and wants to murder them.

The Destruction of Greta Thunberg

For those on both sides of the political spectrum who would push children to further their own agendas, Greta’s iconic question rings clear: How dare you?

Recently, Greta Thunberg was arrested at a protest outside the University of Copenhagen, Denmark. This was not Thunberg’s first run-in with the law; the first time she was detained was during a protest against the expansion of a coal mine in Germany. Ironically, Germany would hardly need to expand the use of coal were it not for the country’s rejection of nuclear power, something Greta herself belatedly admitted.

The shocking story of Britain’s prison breakdown

The scenes outside prisons this week verged on the farcical. As 1,700 offenders released early embraced their unexpected freedom, they spoke to reporters with a mixture of glee and depressing realism.

I’ll be back,” said one. Another said that although he wasn’t “looking to reoffend,” you “never know.” Others praised the mass release as a “very good” policy, with one saying he was “going to get lit” – slang for intoxicated, adding that being released six months early from a two and a half year sentence had made him a “lifelong Labour voter.”

Up and down the country, friends, family and partners waited to greet those who had been liberated. They cheered them out of prison gates, sprayed them with sparkling wine, and took them off to the pub. Rap music blared from cars. The general mood was one of happy surprise. Meanwhile, police spokesmen complained that they would be left to clean up the chaos, which would inevitably include immediate reoffending.

Suspect in second Trump assassination attempt identified as Ryan Wesley Routh

The suspect in the second assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump has been identified as Ryan Wesley Routh, law enforcement sources confirmed to Fox News.

Routh was allegedly armed with an assault rifle outside Trump International Golf Club while Trump was playing the fifth hole on Sunday afternoon.

He was able to push the muzzle of his gun through the chainlink fence outside the golf club, authorities said.

FBI says it’s probing ‘attempted assassination’ on Trump after gunman ‘armed with assault rifle’ was shot at by Secret Service on his golf course

Trump confirmed in a statement about an hour after the incident that he is ‘safe and well’ and didn’t want rumors to ‘start spiraling out of control.’

I was out this afternoon and this happened.

US rejects claims of CIA involvement in alleged plot to kill Maduro after Venezuela arrests six

The US state department rejected allegations of CIA involvement in an alleged assassination plot against Nicolás Maduro after Venezuelan officials announced the arrest of three Americans, two Spaniards and a Czech on Saturday.

The claims of a plot against Maduro – the Venezuelan president, whose recent re-election is contested – were made on state television by Diosdado Cabello, the interior minister. Cabello said the foreign citizens including a US navy member were part of a CIA-led plot to overthrow the Venezuelan government and kill several members of its leadership. In the television programme, Cabello showed images of rifles that he said were confiscated from some of the alleged plotters.
