Will Wearisome Kaepernick Ever Leave?

The NFL coddled Colin Kaepernick, now they are stuck with him. So are we.

Sports pages used to be sane alternatives to the insanity of the news pages. No more. Normal Americanos have just gotten their heads around the fact that two guys, or at least non-women, fought for the gold medal in women’s boxing in the most woke Olympics in history, when we see, to our displeasure, that the odious Colin Kaepernick is weaseling his way back into public discussion.

He’s still flogging the tired idea that he has a future as an NFL quarterback. If the current Colin Kaepernick is NFL quarterback material, I’m the next Archbishop of Canterbury.

I had forgot all about him.

Canadian Olympian Eric Lamaze owes nearly $800K following latest court ruling

A breach of contract lawsuit against one of Canada’s most prominent Olympians finally ended last week with an Ontario judge ruling Eric Lamaze owed the plaintiffs more than $786,000.

The case lasted 15 years and Lamaze had argued he couldn’t take part because he had terminal cancer – but another judge in the same case ruled the evidence Lamaze submitted to prove he was receiving treatment wasn’t “credible or reliable.”

… Despite facing so many lawsuits – and despite testing positive for cocaine at several Olympics and having multiple judges issuing arrest warrants for Lamaze for contempt of court when he repeatedly failed to respond to court summons – Equestrian Canada named him in 2022 to a leadership role where he coached Canadian athletes on the world stage.

Canadian ERs keep closing this summer — but there’s no easy fix

In mid-July, when Doug Moore’s daughter fell and hurt her wrist at the family’s property in northern B.C., he rushed the nine-year-old to the nearest hospital — only to find the emergency department had shut down.

There was no advance notice of the closure, the Fort St. John resident recently told CBC’s Daybreak North.

“When you’ve got a nine-year-old, and it’s 9:30 at night, and she’s tired, she’s in pain … it definitely makes me nervous for my family and for those around us,” he said.

UK: Extreme misogyny to be treated as terrorism

Extreme misogyny will be treated as terrorism for the first time under Government plans to combat the radicalisation of young men online.

Yvette Cooper, the Home Secretary, has ordered a review of Britain’s counter-terrorism strategy to urgently address gaps in the Government’s stance on extremism, The Sunday Telegraph can reveal.

It will look at tackling violence against women and girls in the same way as Islamist and far-Right extremism, amid fears that current Home Office guidance is too narrow.

Given this is the UK under a crazed Labour gov’t expect “Extreme Misogyny” to be interpreted by lunatics. Raising a daughter in a White heteronormative environment, forbidding the sexual mutilation of a child and expressing “right-wing” views in front of female identifying thingamabobs etc will earn you long jail terms.

B.C. woman arrested after racially offensive social media content, RCMP says

A Chilliwack, B.C., woman has been arrested over what police are describing as racially offensive content she shared via social media.

Police say the woman was arrested on Aug. 7, but has since been released to appear in court at a later date while prosecutors consider “several” possible recommended charges. Police declined to share the suspect’s name or the account she allegedly used.

She says the woman was allegedly targeting members of the South Asian community, adding investigators learned of several examples but believe one person is responsible for all the content.

Thousands of Afghan ‘Refugees’ Taking Vacations in Afghanistan

Thousands of Afghan citizens who have claimed asylum in Germany have flown back to their home country for a holiday before returning to Germany according to an explosive report by the German television channel RTL. The revelations shore up the argument made by anti-immigration parties that many of those seeking ‘refuge’ in Germany are actually abusing the asylum system and have only headed to Western Europe to gain social benefits.
