Justin Trudeau: immigration into Canada is far too high

Temporary immigration is too high and putting undue pressure on Canadians, Justin Trudeau has claimed.

“Over the past few years we’ve seen a massive spike in temporary immigration,” the Canadian Prime Minister told an audience on Tuesday. “Whether it’s temporary foreign workers, or whether it’s international students in particular that have grown at a rate that’s far beyond what Canada has been able to absorb.”

Transgender Utah prisoner castrates himself in protest after being denied hormone treatment

After being refused access to hormone treatment, an American prisoner who wanted gender affirming care castrated herself in a Utah jail.

The Department of Justice (DOJ) is suing the state of Utah and its department of corrections for violating the Disabilities Act.

The unidentified prisoner, who was diagnosed with gender dysphoria in June 2022 by a doctor contracted by the Utah Department of Corrections, had been requesting access to hormones, female housing, women’s underwear, and makeup for the past two years.

Influx of Asylum Seekers Surprises Canada and Cities Bear the Cost

Canadian cities are being overwhelmed by a record surge of newcomers seeking asylum, straining their budgets and pushing temporary shelters beyond their limits.

In Peel, a suburban region in greater Toronto, the shelter system is running at 300% of capacity, with asylum-seekers occupying more than 70% of the beds and many more camping on the streets, according to Patrick Brown, the mayor of Brampton, Ontario.

‘Autonomous Zone for Palestine’ Set Up in New York City Park

In July 2020, residents of Seattle set up what became known as the “Capital Hill Organized Protest Zone,” or CHOP. CHOP was set up in response to the death of George Floyd. Originally protesters wanted a 50% reduction in funding for police. Later, they called for the total abolition of the Seattle police and made several other outrageous demands, like ending prisons, that no responsible government could ever fulfill.

Police recover nearly 600 stolen vehicles in Port of Montreal, ‘vast majority’ of them stolen from the GTA

Nearly 600 stolen vehicles have been recovered from shipping containers in the Port of Montreal over the past few months as part of an interprovincial auto theft investigation, and 75 per cent of them were stolen in Ontario.

Speaking at a news conference Wednesday, Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) announced the results of “Project Vector” – an operation to recover stolen vehicles that made it to the Port of Montreal and were intercepted before they could be illegally exported.

Soldiers had to rely on food donations because of lack of military support during Ottawa training

Canadian Forces personnel sent to Ottawa for specialized cyber training had to rely on donated food to make ends meet because of the lack of support from the military and the high cost of living in the city.

In other cases, soldiers went months without being reimbursed by National Defence for their expenses, creating even more financial hardship, according to military personnel who approached this newspaper with their concerns.

The recruits were not initially eligible for any housing allowance while in Ottawa.
