‘Cannibal’ Mexican husband ‘killed his wife, ate her brains in tacos and used her skull as an ashtray’

Decline dinner invites.

A ‘devil worshipper’ dubbed the ‘Cannibal of Puebla’ who allegedly killed his wife, ate her brain in tacos, and used her skull as an ashtray has been arrested in Mexico.

The suspect, identified only as Alvaro, was seized at the couple’s home in Puebla on July 2 and taken into custody.

The police accuse the 32-year-old of murdering his wife – a mother of five – on June 29 while under the influence of a prohibited substance.

Ontario looks to build first full-scale nuclear power plant in decades

Ontario could be getting its first new, full-scale nuclear plant in three decades, the province’s Energy Minister said Wednesday, unveiling plans to work with privately-owned Bruce Power to conduct an environmental study of a potential additional facility at the company’s massive existing site on the shores of Lake Huron.

… Any new nuclear facility in Ontario would require at least a decade for an extensive federal impact assessment and public consultations – including with local Indigenous groups – as well as final approvals by the federal Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission. It would also cost many billions of dollars. When the Liberal government of Dalton McGuinty scrapped plans for a new full-scale facility near Ontario Power Generation’s Darlington site in Clarington, east of Toronto, more than a decade ago, the projected price tag was expected to be more than $25-billion. The government provided no cost estimate on Wednesday.

That’s a sick joke and I suspect much of the process is just a scam for well connected hacks to line their pockets.

Elections Commissioner’s Office Dismissed 116 Complaints Alleging Foreign Interference Because Investigations Are Too Much Like Work

Caroline Simard Elections Canada – work shy

The Office of Elections Commissioner Caroline Simard dismissed 116 complaints of alleged foreign interference in Canada’s 2019 and 2021 general elections without initiating any relevant prosecution, according to an internal briefing note.

“Foreign components in investigations almost always give rise to delays, complexities and other challenges,” wrote the commissioner’s office in a briefing note dated Nov. 1, 2022, and obtained by Blacklock’s Reporter.

The office added that it would have to spend a “significant amount of time and resources” to obtain all the necessary evidence located outside the country to prove the interference allegations.

Jen Psaki Claims GOP ‘Recruiting’ Muslims to ‘Go After’ Trans People

On MSNBC’s Inside With Jen Psaki, the eponymous host dedicated the portion of her program where she appears to go off script and gives her often delusional opinions on the news of the week. This Sunday was no different as the former Biden administration Press Secretary concocted a bizarre conspiracy theory that the Republican Party is rehashing the so-called “southern strategy” (which itself is a debunked conspiracy theory) to “recruit” Muslim Americans to “go after” transgender people.

Trigger Warnings Given For Sound Of Music Nazis

It isn’t all raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens. The theatre behind a new production of The Sound of Music is facing criticism for its use of a trigger warning to caution audiences that it touches on “Nazi Germany and the annexation of Austria”.

Chichester Festival Theatre, where the revival of the stage show opens next week, is warning prospective ticket buyers that some of them “may find certain themes distressing”.

‘Her fake honour’: Caroline Mulroney was called to Ontario bar three days before getting ‘King’s Counsel’ title

Caroline’s Dad ranks among the most well hated men in Canada.

Transportation Minister Caroline Mulroney was called to the Ontario bar just three days before the Ford government announced she was getting a special title for lawyers that has been widely denounced as a patronage honour, the Star has learned.

The government declared Friday afternoon that it was re-instituting the honorary title of “King’s Counsel” for “lawyers who have demonstrated a commitment to the pursuit of legal excellence in service to the Crown, the public and their communities.”

This is just sad. Can’t be happy with what she has so grasps at a silly bauble. I wonder if it came in an envelope.

Canada’s ‘Counterinsurgency Doctrine’ Is Up For Review. It Warns About Labour Unrest

The Canadian military’s 15-year old “Counterinsurgency Doctrine,” which is up for review this year, includes long paragraphs about the need to be on the lookout for “strikes” and “absenteeism,” and to screen for “disloyal” workers among labour pools during insurgency operations. More broadly, it warns about armed uprisings drawing on support from “disaffected” and “unemployed” people across the world.

The Canadian Armed Forces’ 249-page doctrine was first drafted in 2008 with the expectation that “future operations” would likely involve wars against “insurgencies” at home and abroad. It warns about “passive” forms of protest and labour disobedience alongside “terrorism” as examples of insurgent strategies.
