Consultants were paid $262,609 to coach federal managers on how to answer questions when summoned to testify before parliamentary committees.

These consultants offered managers “strategic and practical advice” on committee appearances. They were hired to “review material and provide comments, advice, and suggested questions,” the cabinet wrote in an Inquiry of Ministry tabled in the Commons, per Blacklock’s Reporter.

9 Toronto police officers facing charges related to tow-truck violence: sources

Nine Toronto police officers are facing charges related to violent incidents involving tow trucks and operators across the Greater Toronto Area, multiple sources tell CBC News.

CBC News is not naming the sources, as they are not authorized to share details publicly.

The officers are accused of trafficking, leaking addresses to hitmen, and leaking police officer addresses, the sources said.

This article says beyond the TPS cops officers from other jurisdictions are also involved. If I recall correctly this links back to Asian criminals.

Comedian Adam Carolla warned that the NFL risks turning off the league’s biggest fans with the decision to host Bad Bunny as the Super Bowl halftime show performer.

‘I mean, a guy in a dress singing in Spanish some crappy reggaeton music I hate, and basically piss it off,’ Carolla said in an exclusive interview with the Daily Mail, referring to the NFL’s fan base.

Carolla spoke to the Daily Mail after performing at the Trump-Kennedy center last weekend and ahead of his appearances in Orlando on Thursday and Naples, Florida this weekend.

Separatism isn’t treason. Helping Trump take over Canada? That’s another matter

Suppose there were a country, let’s call it Outlandia, that declared its intent to annex Canada – to take over its territory and subject its people to its rule – if not by military means, certainly by economic.

Now suppose a group of fellow travellers within Canada offered to assist Outlandia with its hostile takeover. Nothing violent, mind you, but rather the kinds of measures, from psyops to sabotage, that would reliably weaken our ability to resist – that would divide the country, plunge it into political and economic disorder, and ultimately deliver it into the hands of Outlandia.

The Globe is as Left and TDS stricken as the Star nowadays.

Delivering her first public comments about the arrest of disgraced form CNN host Don Lemon, on Tuesday, Behar defended not only Lemon but the rioters who stormed the Cities Church in St. Paul Minnesota. She claimed they had a right to protest in the church and ludicrously equated Lemon being in the church to General Dwight D. Eisenhower bringing in journalists to document concentration camps and the Holocaust.

New federal grocery rebate will cost $12.4 billion, PBO estimates

Canadians have been dealing with sticker shock for years as grocery prices have shot up by more than 30 per cent since 2020, according to the most recent data from Statistics Canada.

Last week, Prime Minister Mark Carney announced a suite of affordability measures to help Canadian families who are struggling to cope with the rising cost of living. The flagship measure is the Canada Groceries and Essentials Benefit.

We now know what that will cost. On Monday, the parliamentary budget officer announced that the federal government’s plan to increase the GST credit and offer a one-time payment to Canadians will cost Ottawa an estimated $12.4 billion over five years.

Carney government replacing islamophobia and antisemitism envoys with “Social Cohesion” Kommissars

OTTAWA — Prime Minister Mark Carney government said Wednesday that it is eliminating Canada’s special envoy positions on fighting Islamophobia and antisemitism.
The positions will be replaced by a new “Advisory Council on Rights, Equality and Inclusion, ” Culture and Identity Minister Marc Miller said in a news release.

“The Advisory Council will be comprised of prominent Canadians from academia, experts and community leaders with a mission to foster social cohesion, rally Canadians around shared identity, combat racism and hate in all their forms, and help guide the efforts of the Government of Canada,” Miller said.

You and I will be in the Kommissar’s cross-hairs.

Judge grants leniency for Toronto crack dealer because of his nine children and his race

A Toronto crack cocaine dealer caught back in business three times over the course of ten months managed to convince a judge that he deserves some leniency because putting him behind bars would mean hardship for his nine children, but not because he’s addicted to the drugs he was caught peddling.
