Trudeau shows why you should never trust a ‘male feminist’

Justin Trudeau – Male Feminist

The ‘male feminist’ has long been a source of ire for me. When feminism surged in popularity during the mid-Noughties, progressive men glommed on, wearing their ‘This is what a feminist looks like’ t-shirts with pride. They were cheered on by legions of naïve women, starving for breadcrumbs. The truth about contemporary feminism is that the label has become meaningless. A ‘feminist’ is now something anyone can be, regardless of their interest in women’s rights.

The chaotic race to replace Justin Trudeau is a mess of the Liberals’ making

Regardless of how one feels about Justin Trudeau and his legacy, it must be conceded that his long-delayed sort-of-resignation — for let’s remember that he’s still Prime Minister and will be for at least several weeks — is extraordinarily poorly timed. Rather than quit at a juncture that would have allowed the Liberal party to choose a successor who had any chance of running a competitive election, what we have now is … this. A period of extended Parliamentary paralysis and political pugilism just as the country is about to face down a potentially existential trade war and a geopolitical realignment.

So, good job everyone.

Nothing to cheer

Another day, another deal.

This has been going on since I’ve kept score…and it is usually Hamas that gets the final say.

All this time I thought, proudly, that Israel is the power-house of the Middle East. I still think so. But something is cockeyed.

Hasn’t Hamas already been defeated? Our IDF guys…heroes all…have gone cave to cave, tunnel to tunnel and emerged victorious.

Grilling Hegseth: Democrats Expose Their Spiteful Hypocrisy

Some of America’s vilest creatures pile on to a patently decent man.

How bizarre it was to watch Pete Hegseth, Donald Trump’s nominee for secretary of defense, being abused at his confirmation hearing by the Democratic members of the Senate Armed Services Committee. Until Trump picked him for his cabinet, I didn’t really know anything about Hegseth and had never watched his show on Fox News. But since his nomination, I’ve looked into him. I’ve heard his former colleagues speaking about him, without exception, in glowing terms. And when he sat there for hours in the committee room on Tuesday, he was not just highly articulate and well-informed on military matters; he exuded sincerity and decency. It was clear that whatever his past peccadillos, this is a man who genuinely loves America, who is dedicated to the idea of a strong military, and who cares about the men and women who wear the uniform of the American armed forces. For heaven’s sake, he comes off like something out of another era — a good, old-fashioned, corny, foursquare patriot of the kind that might have been played in an old movie by Jimmy Stewart or Gary Cooper.

We’ll need more migrants to replace them! More than 74,000 Canadians have died on health-care wait lists since 2018: report

At least 15,000 Canadians died while waiting for surgery or a diagnostic scan over the course of a year, according to government data collected by public policy think tank SecondStreet.org.

The true figure for the fiscal year 2023-24 is likely nearly double owing to a “huge hole” in the data, said SecondStreet president Colin Craig. Missing are data from Quebec, Alberta, Newfoundland and Labrador and most of Manitoba.

We need more dancing nurses, doctors and EMT’s. And more migrants!

Radicals for Palestine Are Fundamentally Anti-American

Anyone who happened to amble by the downtown Manhattan courthouse in early December, just after a jury acquitted Daniel Penny—the former Marine who put Jordan Neely, a deranged and threatening fellow subway passenger, in a chokehold that led to his death—would have noticed something peculiar.

It wasn’t that the sidewalk was filled with protesters, or that they were chanting slogans that ignored the facts of the situation, presenting Neely—a mentally ill man with 42 previous convictions, including for violent assaults on the subway—as an innocent lynched by a malicious white vigilante for no reason other than his being black. It was, instead, that many of the protesters were wearing keffiyehs, the traditional Arab headwear popular with the pro-Palestine crowd, as well as pins or t-shirts featuring the Palestinian flag.

The surrender of U.K. authorities to evil Muslim rape gangs

HUNTER: The bizarre surrender of U.K. authorities to evil rape gangs

The gang rapes of thousands of young British girls should cause anyone with a soul to recoil in horror.

Here’s the TV Guide description: Rape gangs — typically comprised of Pakistani immigrants to the U.K. — preyed upon vulnerable, working-class white girls. The rapists called them “whores” and “white slags.”

Ages of the victims? Between 12 and 16. After that, they “aged out” and the rape gangs sought younger prey.

Most people are appalled.

Only 13% of Americans Trust TV Reporters’ Honesty and Ethics

Guy Smiley – The last anchor you could trust. Until that unfortunate incident with the Thai Ladyboys.

When it comes to honesty and ethics, TV and newspaper reporters rank with the likes of car salespeople, lawyers and advertising professionals, results of a new Gallup survey of U.S. adults reveal – and Americans’ opinion of them may actually be much worse than they say.

In a national survey, conducted December 2-18, 2024, Gallup asked respondents to “rate the honesty and ethical standards” of 23 professions. “TV reporter” was one of just three professions distrusted by a majority of Americans. Only 13%, or about one in eight, rate the trustworthiness of TV reporters as either “high” or “very high,” while more than four times as many (55%) think it’s “low” or “very low” (55%).

Immigration Policy Is Criminal Abuse Of Canadian Citizens By The LPC: Family work permits no longer available for some foreign students and workers starting next week

Starting next week, the federal government will impose further restrictions on access to open work permits for families of international students and temporary foreign workers.

Following an announcement last fall of reductions in the number of temporary residents in Canada, Ottawa released further details Tuesday on changing the eligibility for family members of study and work permit holders to get authorization to work legally in Canada.

WTF? Just for some??? They’re bringing their freeloading families over here too?

The Petty Reason Michelle Obama Is Skipping Trump’s Inauguration

On Tuesday, we learned that Michelle Obama will be skipping Donald Trump’s inauguration next week. This follows her absence at Jimmy Carter’s funeral — she was the only living former first lady to miss the event — which raised some intriguing questions, like whether there are marital issues between her and Barack. The Obama office gave no explanation for her planned absence; however, sources close to Michelle claim that her decision to skip the inauguration is, in fact, about sending a “powerful statement.”

Seems a win to me.

Auto industry calls for end to ‘complete fantasy’ zero-emission vehicle mandates

OTTAWA — With coffers running dry on federal government incentives to purchase zero emission vehicles, Canada’s auto industry says it’s time to do away with plans to phase out internal combustion engines by 2035.

Monday’s closure of the Incentives for Zero-Emission Vehicles (iZEV) program comes just 12 months before the start of a multi-year EV sales mandate where 20% of all new Canadian car sales must be zero-emission, reaching 100% by 2035.

City Of Ottawa To Spend $15M On Big Tent For Trudeau’s Replacement Migrants

Cost of building tent-like migrant shelter pegged at $15M

The City of Ottawa has found a contractor to design and build a tent-like structure to shelter migrants, with an estimated price tag of up to $15 million.

In a post on the city’s online public consultation portal Engage Ottawa on Tuesday, the city said BLT Construction Services is the only available and qualified vendor to provide a “Sprung Instant Structure” that will house a newcomer reception centre.

Sprung Structures is a leading manufacturer of tensile fabric structures that can be quickly built and customized. BLT would oversee the design of the structure, as well its construction and interior fit-up.
