The forgotten Israeli hostages kept by Hamas in Gaza for years

The anguish over some 200 people kidnapped by Hamas in its brutal attack on Israel is in the spotlight – but Hamas has been holding at least two Israelis for years.

Very little has been heard about Ethiopian-Israeli Avera Mengistu and Bedouin Arab Israeli Hisham al-Sayed, seized in 2014 and 2015 respectively.

The relatives of two dead Israeli soldiers are also tormented by the fact that Hamas has been holding their remains in Gaza since 2014. Hadar Goldin and Oron Shaul were killed during a war between Israel and Hamas that year.

Unfortunately, the European Union and the Biden administration have long been pursuing policies of appeasement with Hamas’s paymaster, the Iranian regime. This policy has only emboldened and empowered Iran’s ruling mullahs and their terrorist proxies, such as Hamas, to an extent that that on October 7, they launched one of the most barbaric attacks of our generation against Israel and Jews. Iran is now threatening to join the war against Israel, and may well be hoping that this is the moment they have effectively been planning since the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

Canada-U.S. refugee pact changes expected to ‘exacerbate existing threats’: memo

OTTAWA – A newly released memo shows federal officials warned last spring that expanding a bilateral refugee pact to the entire Canada-U.S. border would likely fuel smuggling networks and encourage people to seek more dangerous, remote crossing routes.

Officials feared the development would also strain RCMP resources as irregular migrants dispersed more widely across the vast border.

The April memo, made public by Public Safety Canada through the Access to Information Act, was prepared in advance of a Cross-Border Crime Forum meeting with American representatives.

York University may withdraw recognition of student unions over statements about Hamas attack

York University says it will begin a process that could lead to the school withdrawing its recognition of its student unions in response to a controversial statement the groups issued about this month’s Hamas attacks in Israel.

In a written notice Friday, the university’s administration said it suspects the student unions have breached their responsibilities under a university regulation, by failing to act in an open, accessible, democratic and non-discriminatory manner.

Israeli Harvard Business School Student Accosted and Harassed Amid Gaza ‘Die-In’ on Campus

A first-year Israeli student at Harvard Business School was shoved and accosted amid a “die in” protest held on Wednesday to assail Israel’s retaliatory attacks on Hamas.

The incident, captured on video reviewed by the Washington Free Beacon, shows the student saying “don’t grab me” and “don’t touch my neck” as protesters surround him, blocking his view and their own faces with keffiyehs.

UK: 100,000 March for Hamas In London

Thousands of people are taking part in a pro-Palestinian protest in London for the second consecutive weekend.

The Met Police estimated up to 100,000 people had joined the march, which was due to end in a rally near Downing Street, as of 14:00 BST.

Smaller demos took place in Birmingham, Belfast, Cardiff and Salford.

It comes as aid deliveries reached Gaza for the first time since Israel imposed a blockade following a Hamas attack which killed 1,400 people in Israel.

A convicted pedophile has been arrested after setting up a homeless camp outside of a San Francisco school with a sign offering ‘free fentanyl 4 new users’.

Adam Moore, 46, set up an encampment across from Stella Maris Academy in the embattled California city over two years ago.

Moore had been stationed outside the school with signs offering free drugs, with one reading: ‘Free fentanyl 4 new users’ and another saying ‘Meth for stolen items’.
