A 12-year-old girl was raped in a daylight attack after being “targeted” by two asylum seekers, a court was told.
Ahmad Mulakhil, 23, abducted the schoolgirl from a street before repeatedly raping her and taking photographs of the attack, Warwick crown court was told.
Mulakhil has admitted a charge of oral rape but says sexual activity that took place was consensual and “initiated” by the girl. He denies two other counts of rape, abducting a child, two counts of sexual assault and taking indecent photographs of a child.

Donald Trump said it was “very dangerous” for the UK to do business with China, as Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer arrived in Shanghai on the third day of his visit to the country.
…Beyond his brief comments, Trump did not say anything further about the UK’s engagement with China, pivoting instead to Canada and delivering a similar warning.
He said it was “even more dangerous, I think, for Canada”.
“Canada is not doing well. They’re doing very poorly, and you can’t look at China as the answer,” he added.

BREAKING: Mark Carney confirmed Canada entered a NEW Trade Agreement with China.
This is after Mark Carney told the U.S. we did not — we only removed some tariffs.

Washington has pushed back against Brussels after EU regulators fined Elon Musk’s platform X earlier this month, with U.S. lawmakers warning that the move could set a global precedent for how online speech is policed.
The dispute centres on a €120 million penalty imposed by the European Commission under the EU’s Digital Services Act (DSA), a far-reaching law that gives Brussels new powers over the world’s largest online platforms. EU officials say the fine is about transparency and compliance; critics in Washington argue it shows how European regulation can be used to pressure foreign companies far beyond the EU’s borders.

“The neo-Nazi group Atomwaffen Division linked to Ottawa’s “Freedom Convoy,” screams the Radio-Canada headline in French. This CBC smear-job story ran just prior to the Federal Court of Appeal releasing its January 16 denunciation of the federal government’s illegal conduct in February 2022. The court denounced former prime minister Justin Trudeau over wrongfully declaring a national emergency, illegally using violence against peaceful protesters, and violating Charter rights by freezing the bank accounts of hundreds of Canadians.

As an illustration of Canada’s relative irrelevance on the world stage, I always liked the story about external affairs minister Lester Pearson’s visit to president Dwight Eisenhower, an avid golfer.
Pearson emerged from a meeting in disbelief that Ike hadn’t even heard of a pressing Canadian issue. “You’d think,” he muttered to an aide, “his caddie would have mentioned it to him.”
There have been moments when Canada popped up for a day or two on American news, but by and large we’ve been a marginal force. That changed with Mark Carney’s speech in Davos.

Some of the most vocal antagonists of the Trump administration’s attempts to rein in illegal immigration have come from men and women of the cloth. Last Friday, about 100 clergy members protesting deportation flights were arrested during a peaceful sit-in at Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport. Episcopal bishops in New Hampshire and Minnesota recently exhorted their flocks to be prepared even for death in order to protect vulnerable illegal immigrants.

Britain is committing suicide before the eyes of the world—the nation that once produced the culture and institutions to support a worldwide empire.
England, one of the world’s oldest nation-states, has long stood as a symbol of continuity, tradition, and cultural propriety. From the consolidation of the monarchy to the expansion of the British Empire, it helped shape Western civilization, anchored in Christian heritage and legal principles (Magna Carta). It also historically protected minority communities, including Jews, from persecution. Yet in the twenty-first century, England (and Britain) faces unprecedented internal crises—in governance, national identity, and cultural cohesion—that suggest, not just a period of transition but the possible unraveling of a once-cohesive civilization.

The federal refugee tribunal’s practice of assessing some asylum claims without first questioning applicants could heighten the risk of fraud and weaken security screening, a report by a former director of policy at the Immigration Department says.
The report, to be published on Thursday by the C.D. Howe Institute, expresses concern that the Immigration and Refugee Board’s assessment of asylum claims from certain countries without hearings removes an important layer of scrutiny.
An access to information request by the report’s author, James Yousif, found that between Jan. 1, 2019 and Feb. 28, 2023, the IRB accepted 24,599 asylum claims into Canada without personally questioning the applicants in hearings.
Our country is run by criminals.

Can you guess what happened to one of them?
And the other one is desperate to be given asylum in the United States, for he has lost faith in the Swedish government’s ability to protect him. His story, and that of his murdered friend, should be covered on 60 Minutes and in the New York Times, while Senator John Fetterman and Congressmen Ritchie Torres should demand that the survivor of the pair, now in the U.S., at once be granted permanent asylum.
CALGARY — An Indian-Canadian social media influencer has sparked a fiery debate online as she addressed the rising hate against Indians by suggesting that immigrants are essential to Western economies and labour markets, while calling nations such as Canada and the United States “colonial settler countries.”
