Too Close for Comfort: Carney Floor Crosser Comes From a Riding Tainted by PRC Interference

OTTAWA — Mark Carney’s minority government is now one seat shy of a House of Commons majority—not because Canadians changed their minds in an election, but because a newly elected Conservative member of Parliament, Michael Ma, has crossed the floor to join the Liberal caucus.

Floor crossing is legal. It is also one of those Westminster quirks that can be permissible while still corroding public trust—especially when it is used to rewire the meaning of an election after the ballots are counted.

Civilization Erasure, Christmas Markets, and Hungary

Christmas Market Budapest Hungary

Hungary’s guarded borders stand out in a Europe where migrant-driven unrest is forcing Christmas markets to shutter under rising security fears.

Not surprisingly, a controversial prediction in the new Trump administration’s National Security Strategy that Europe is facing “civilization erasure” because of out-of-control mass migration infuriated European elites. The Economist attacked this reference as “shocking.” The Independent, a UK newspaper, referred to it as a “sinister conspiracy theory.”

I want to set this aside for a moment and talk about European Christmas markets, especially in Hungary.

Why was a teacher sacked for calling Britain a Christian country?

According to multiple media reports this week, a teacher was sacked from working at a London primary school in early 2024 after making allegedly hurtful comments about Islam. The teacher, who does not wish to be named, was not only sacked but also blacklisted from working with children, after the local authority claimed that he posed a substantive risk to children, causing them ’emotional harm’.

Every U.S. state along Canadian border is hurting financially due to decline in tourists from Canada: new report

Declining Canadian tourism is adversely affecting American businesses in every state along the U.S.-Canada border, according to a new report by the U.S. Senate Democrats’ Joint Economic Committee.

“In 2024, Canadian tourism contributed $20.5 billion to the U.S. economy and supported 140,000 American jobs,” states the report, released on Wednesday. “The negative impacts of President Trump’s tariff policies have been particularly stark in states along the U.S.-Canada border, which have many businesses that rely on short-term visits by Canadians.”

Epstein photo release shows Trump, Clinton and ex-Prince Andrew… as disturbing images expose pedophile’s sick private world

House Democrats have released over a dozen new photographs of billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein parading around with Donald Trump and Bill Clinton.

Democratic lawmakers on the House Oversight Committee unveiled 19 intimate photos from the estate of the disgraced financier.

The photos also depict graphic sex toys but it is unclear the location or dates of the images.

Not sure what this accomplished.

Gangs are menacing London’s schoolkids

In London, it used to be that shrines for children would always mark the site of a road accident. Now they often mark the site of a murder. Most often, their killers are children too.

Another shrine has appeared in North London. On Tuesday lunchtime, Adam Henry, aged 15, was cornered down a side street off Westbourne Road, Islington, not far from Highbury Fields, and stabbed. Someone called 999. Paramedics arrived, and office workers on their lunch breaks saw them trying to save Henry’s life. He was rushed to hospital, where he died.

BERNARDO: How Ottawa’s firearms agenda collides with daily life in Canada

Picture a winter morning in northern Alberta or rural Saskatchewan.

A licenced firearms owner — maybe an indigenous hunter, maybe a rancher — reaches for the same rifle or shotgun they’ve used for decades.

It might be an SKS picked up when they were still cheap and plentiful. It might be a semi-automatic shotgun that takes detachable magazines because that’s what the local shop had in stock at the time.

The EU and Canada Collaborate on Digital IDs

The latest agreement between the European Union and Canada to collaborate on mutually recognized digital IDs is simply another step in what I have been warning about for years. Whenever government confidence collapses, the political class tightens control. Digital ID is not about convenience; it is about tracking capital and controlling movement as the global sovereign-debt crisis accelerates.

The danger here is obvious. Mutual recognition means a unified framework. They’re building a foundation to establish a GLOBAL digital ID. Once these systems talk to one another, you have created the architecture for a worldwide database controlled by the political elite. This is precisely what the EU has been pushing with its Digital Services Act and the infamous “digital wallet” proposal. Now they are exporting it, just as they exported their disastrous ideas on Net Zero and financial regulation. Canada, collapsing economically and politically, is following Brussels into the abyss.

Welcome to your future dystopia.

Cry the Beloved Europe?

Nothing bothers the European elite as much as American conservatives praising the European foundations of their shared, but threatened, Western civilization.

Europeans especially resent having their social-welfare state system critiqued by upstart, crass Americans.

Their pique only increases as they push back against the condescending American idea that the U.S. could offer any constructive advice, much less help a more civilized Europe follow the “American model.”

Globe Triggered! Trump Was Mean!

Donald Trump has taken the mask off about immigrants in the U.S.

The United States was once a country that proudly proclaimed itself to be a nation of immigrants. That’s always been caveated, of course; the drive to “secure the border” has long obsessed both parties. But attacking pluralism is a full-on ideological anchor of President Donald Trump’s second administration, which has been unwavering in its promised anti-immigrant agenda.

This week, the xenophobic rhetoric reached a fever pitch when Mr. Trump launched into an anti-immigrant tirade, lamenting immigration to the United States from “hellholes like Afghanistan, Haiti, Somalia and many other countries,” which he condemned as “filthy, dirty, disgusting, ridden with crime.” These comments followed a major shift in immigration policy, what the President called a “permanent pause” on immigration applications from 19 countries, including Iran, Haiti and Sudan, including asylum applications, green card processing and naturalization applications.

All those countries mentioned are backward shitholes.

Canada’s idiot Lib-left is still caught up in their Noble Savage fixation and can’t wrap their head around the simple fact President Trump is protecting his people from predatory illegal alien invaders and the incompatible cultures allowed in by President Dementia & Obama.

Oh well the Globe has to play to their audience I suppose. Smug anti-Americanism still works with the Elbow people. God help us.

Hollow Sanctuaries: When Churches Become Mosques

As churches empty, mosques take their place across the West.

On certain Sunday mornings in America, you can still hear a church bell toll across an otherwise silent neighborhood. The sound is familiar, but the congregation it once summoned has vanished. Pews sit undisturbed, hymnals gather dust, and sanctuaries once filled with life now echo only with the footsteps of estate agents measuring out a future that will no longer be Christian. In much of the West, the bell remains — but its audience has gone.
