‘Vigilantes’ to defend town from migrants

Residents of an East Sussex town have created a “vigilante” group in response to Home Office plans to house 500 illegal immigrants in a former Army barracks.

Members of the “Crowborough Patrol” said they would walk in the town centre day and night to be a “visible deterrent” to “unwanted activity”.

As many as 540 single, male asylum seekers will be housed in a 37-acre cadet training camp near Crowborough, as part of a Home Office bid to reduce the use of asylum hotels.

Saskatchewan Introduces Involuntary Drug Treatment Legislation

Saskatchewan has introduced involuntary drug treatment legislation on the final day of the fall legislature sitting.

If passed, the Compassionate Intervention Act, Bill 48, would allow those with addictions to be committed to treatment without their consent.

Premier Scott Moe said the legislation will allow the province to “put families first” by providing treatment and care to those “unable to seek help on their own because of their severe addiction.”

American Taxpayers Are Paying Somalis Millions To Not Assimilate

Civil war and famine spurred many Somalians to immigrate to the United States in 1991 and settle in Minnesota. That was 34 years ago. Somalians could have assimilated into U.S. culture by now, but American taxpayers have been roped into funding programs that coddle Somalians’ Third-World culture and disincentivize their assimilation.

The myth of unified Indigenous opposition to a West Coast pipeline

The political reaction from Indigenous groups to the new energy agreement between Alberta and Ottawa so far paints a seemingly unambiguous picture of fierce resistance to any plan for a new oil pipeline to the West Coast.

But that wall of opposition is not as clear-cut as it appears.

It’s true that the Assembly of First Nations (AFN), which advocates for more than 600 communities, voted unanimously to defend the northern B.C. tanker ban and to urge the federal government to withdraw the said memorandum of understanding (MOU) last week.

But look a little closer, and a more nuanced discourse starts to emerge, suggesting a complex, but not impossible, path forward for any such pipeline to materialize.

Elon Musk is right about the EU

Europhiles – the most maddening tribe on the internet – are coming for Elon Musk. After Musk dared to blaspheme against the Brussels bureaucracy that they so fervently simp for, they called him a stooge of Vladimir Putin. ‘Putin wants a weaker EU’, said the EU-loving centrists of Renew Europe, and now Musk is doing his bidding by calling for a ‘break-up [of] the EU’. It’s the same low trick every time – utter one word of dissent against their beloved EU oligarchy and they’ll have you down as a running dog of Russia.

The Meaning of Hate

In November, the Daily Sceptic reported that a policeman had told a Christian preacher that some words painted on his van “could be seen as hate speech in the wrong context”. The words were a Biblical verse: Chapter 3, verse 16 of the Gospel according to John, “For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life.”

Margaret Atwood: The Handmaid’s Tale has become ‘more and more plausible’

Margaret Atwood -Old Elbows Up Crank

Margaret Atwood has said the plot of her book The Handmaid’s Tale, which tells a story of an authoritarian regime under which women are forced to reproduce, has become “more and more plausible” in recent years.

Speaking on BBC Radio 4’s Desert Island Discs, Atwood said she believed the plot was “bonkers” when she first developed the concept for the novel because the US was the “democratic ideal” at the time.

“It was the land of freedom … and people in Europe just didn’t believe that it could ever go like that,” she said.

“I’ve always been somebody who has never believed it can’t happen here. It can happen anywhere, given the circumstances.”

Has this crank ever raised her voice against Islam and sharia law?

The Somali leader of ISIS’s British wife and her life in Slough: How ‘supreme commander’ abandoned her and three children to pursue global terror

The new global leader of the ISIS terror network has a British wife and three children living in Slough who he walked out on to pursue his terrorist vision, The Daily Mail can reveal.

Abdul Qadir Mumin, the new supreme commander of the Islamic State, is now based in a remote mountainous region of northern Somalia leading its global terror campaign with 1,200 hardened fighters at his command.

Known for his striking, orange-dyed beard, pearl-white teeth and fiery rhetoric he has been designated as one of the world’s most wanted terrorists and has survived several attempts on his life during operations by US ground and air forces and Somali troops.

RCMP employee linked to Palestinian activist network raises questions over political influence

Federal records show a founder of a Palestinian activist organization is currently working inside the RCMP’s federal policing branch, prompting fresh scrutiny over political advocacy within Canada’s national police force.

The biblical passages that Canada could list as hate speech

The Carney government is moving to tweak Canada’s hate speech laws so that biblical scripture could qualify as criminal hate speech.

The Criminal Code currently prescribes jail terms of up to two years for “willful promotion of hatred.” However, there is an exemption if that statement is a “good faith” opinion “based on a belief in a religious text.”

But Bill C-9 — the Carney government’s first major justice bill — is looking to remove the religious exemption for hate speech. It’s a reform that the Bloc Québécois has been seeking since 2023, primarily to make it easier to prosecute Islamists.

Prosecute Islamists? Well intentioned maybe but unlikely to translate into reality.

Christians will almost certainly face far more prosecutions than either Islam or Judaism.

The militant gays, trannies, liberal-left and DEI acolytes are salivating.

How Are the Mighty Fallen: The End of Europe and Hollywood

Europe’s war on speech and Hollywood’s corporate implosion signal the end of an era and (perhaps) the beginning of another.

In his brilliant book on the precariousness of Western Civilization, , scholar Spencer Klavan cites an epic historical change that took place in a single moment. It was the Visigoths burning the city of Rome in 410 AD, observed by Saint Jerome. “Who would believe that Rome would fall, she who had been built up by the conquest of the whole world?” Jerome wrote. Klavan captured the irony that evaded even the saint. “But even as he wrote these words, Jerome himself had already completed a Latin translation of the Bible which would serve as a foundation stone of Christendom in western Europe.”
