Caroline Elliott: The extreme ideology behind B.C.’s radical reconciliation agenda

British Columbians are understandably perplexed as to why their provincial government is going headlong down an economically devastating, undemocratic and divisive “reconciliation” path that is so obviously counter to the public interest.

But the reason is simple, and it’s in plain view for anyone who cares to look. Premier David Eby has surrounded himself with advisors who fervently believe in a radical ideology that sees the drastic reshaping of our society as a moral imperative.

The Pope asks Europe to follow Lebanon. Good luck!

We hear the sound of the wall when it collapses, not the sound of the ivy as it takes over.

On the plane returning from Lebanon to Rome, Pope Leo XIV urged Catholics concerned about the West to be “less afraid” of Islam, promoting “coexistence” and “friendship” between Christians and Muslims.

All well and good so far. Look closer.

Is the HiLux Coming to America?

President Trump appeared to say that Americans are going to be allowed — isn’t it great? — to buy small, inexpensive vehicles that are not currently available for sale in America, because it is illegal to sell them in America. Models such as the little pickup made by Toyota — the HiLux — being one of them. Also, the so-called “Kei” cars, which are abundant in Japan but unavailable here.

Iran’s Regime Is on Its Knees — Why for God’s Sake Revive It?

The European Union is reportedly preparing to sit down with Iran to negotiate on its nuclear program — again. Even Rafael Grossi, head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) — the UN’s nuclear watchdog — seems interested in engaging Iran in “diplomacy” again.

Iran’s regime, not surprisingly, appears more than happy to accept these overtures. On the surface, this international charm offensive may appear to be a constructive effort toward dialogue, but a dryer analysis suggests that such negotiations risk handing a monumental victory to a vicious regime that is vulnerable and weak — and rabidly opportunistic. By offering Iran another platform for legitimacy, the EU and the UN are shoring up a monumentally brutal regime at a time when, for the West’s own good, it should be applying pressure, not extending a hand.

Feds’ backtracking on climate action is ‘fuelling’ Quebec separatism, ex-minister Guilbeault says

The federal government is stoking Quebec separatism by walking back its climate commitments — including in its recent deal with Alberta — Liberal MP and former cabinet minister Steven Guilbeault says.

“There is a feeling right now that by abandoning our climate goals we are fuelling the separatist movement,” Guilbeault said in an interview airing Sunday on CBC’s Rosemary Barton Live.

He is a climate psycho and lies about the colour of the sky.

Brampton ‘cocaine lawyer’ has licence suspended, will ‘vigorously defend’ allegations he helped Ryan Wedding murder an FBI witness

The Law Society of Ontario has suspended the licence of the self-proclaimed “cocaine lawyer” accused of working for alleged drug kingpin Ryan Wedding ahead of his extradition case on a U.S. murder charge.

Deepak Paradkar’s lawyer, Ravin Pillay, told a tribunal on Friday that his client accepted the Law Society’s interlocutory application to suspend his licence in the wake of the U.S. criminal charges announced by authorities last month.

However, Pillay said after the hour-long hearing, “I think it’s important to state that Mr. Paradkar denies the allegations, maintains his innocence and intends to vigorously defend against the criminal charges at the appropriate time, in the appropriate forum and based on a full evidentiary record.”

How Chihuahua-walking, ‘autistic-like’ pipe-bomb suspect Brian Cole Jr. stumped Biden’s FBI for years

The confessed Jan. 6 pipe bomber flummoxed former President Joe Biden’s FBI before he was arrested and charged this week with planting the explosives outside the headquarters of both major political parties’ buildings in Washington, DC.

President Trump’s FBI, led by Director Kash Patel, and prosecutors have released few details about the accused 30-year-old’s motivations, but investigative leads that law enforcement officials and congressional committees disclosed in the years preceding the bomber’s arrest point to how agents found it so difficult to apprehend him.
