The 10 Worst Legacy Media Abuses in 2020

From the Wuhan coronavirus pandemic to the riots to the 2020 election, the left-leaning legacy media has twisted, subverted, and outright suppressed the news it is supposedly tasked with reporting. It is impossible to cover every instance of media bias against President Donald Trump, for Joseph Robinette Biden Jr., or propping up the far-Left’s increasingly stifling orthodoxy, but I have compiled what I believe to be the ten most egregious examples from 2020.

What did Canadians search on Google in 2020?

Canadians had many questions in 2020 and they turned to search engines to make sense of what they were seeing and hearing.

With the year ending, the analytics data from Google provides a unique insight to what Canadians were reading about throughout the year.

Certain events occupied Canadians’ attention for long enough to dominate the trending data and others events reached so many people, so quickly, they would own a top spot for the entire year.

What is left to say?

The ‘COVID19 s the most terrible infection ever, and we must do everything in our power to stop it, whatever the cost’ banner.

Or the ‘What on earth are we doing? This is no worse than a bad flu, and we are destroying the world economy, stripping away basic human rights and killing more people than we are saving’ banner.

There may be others.

Between these two, main, completely incompatible positions, lies the truth. It is in pretty poor shape. It has been crushed, and bent out of shape, smashed, and left as a broken heap in the corner. I search where I can, to find the fragments, in an attempt to bring together a picture that makes some kind of sense.

Excellent article.

BLM UK leader calls for a race offenders registry

A prominent Black Lives Matter activist in the United Kingdom is calling for the British government to extend its laws against hate speech through the establishment of a “race offenders” registry similar to a registry on sex offenders. The proposed national database would include anyone “accused” or “charged” with racism and those on the list would be barred from holding certain jobs or living near non-white people.

Not to ruin the party, but the 2021 forecast is nightmarish

The year’s end is a time for reflecting on the past year and preparing for the new one. Most people are looking forward to moving past COVID-19 and its lockdowns and returning to “normal life.” But, for Joe Biden, still popping Champagne corks after the Electoral College vote, 2021 may be creeping up to become his worst nightmare. America was severely broken and fundamentally changed during 2020 and it will take a long time to fix it — a job that President-elect Biden is unprepared to handle.

Sen. Hawley Confirms He Will Object to Electoral College Results, Sets Stage for Massive Showdown

Earlier this week during an interview on “Fox & Friends,” Republican Rep. Mo Brooks of Alabama said multiple House Republicans will push back against certification, which is done in a joint session of Congress. However, Hawley is the first senator to publicly announce he will do so, ensuring that there will be debate on the issue on Jan. 6.

MALCOLM: Top Stupid Things Trudeau said in 2020

Canadians have become accustomed to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s penchant for verbal gaffes and ridiculous remarks – and 2020 was no different.

The Data Talks: How Statistics Canada Measured a Pandemic

Canada’s economy has had its ups and downs, crashes, failures and recessions, but how do you measure the business impact of a country that simply stopped working and intentionally shut down its economy to halt the spread of COVID-19?

Our self-appointed media overlords aren’t very bright

Our self-appointed media overlords aren’t very bright

In February 2017, Mika Brzezinski gave the media’s game away.  She explained that Donald Trump, by trying to bypass media bias, “could have undermined the messaging so much that he can actually control exactly what people think.”  Mika wasn’t upset that Americans might be subject to thought control.  Instead, she was outraged because, when it comes to thought control, “that is our job.”  Jennifer Bendery, a HuffPost senior politics reporter, is Mika’s spiritual heir because she is stupid, hostile to the Trump administration, under the impression that she owns the facts, and intractable about her ignorance and bias.

The Year in which Comforting American Myths Were Ravaged

The Year in which Comforting American Myths Were Ravaged

Thanks in large part to Covid lockdowns, this year has left vast wreckage in its wake, with ten million jobs lost, more than 100,000 businesses and dozens of national chains bankrupted or closed. Up to 40 million people could face eviction in the coming months for failing to pay rent, and Americans report that their mental health is at record low levels. But the casualty list for 2020 must also include many of the political myths that shape Americans’ lives.

Perhaps the biggest myth to die this year was that Americans’ constitutional rights are safeguarded by the Bill of Rights.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Happy New Year from all of us at BCF.

Thank you all for seeing us through these most trying of times.

2020 is not going to let us go so easily; its malevolence will be felt long into 2021 that much is certain.

We will carry on. It will get better. Thanks to you.

We are putting woke idiocy above saving lives

We are putting woke idiocy above saving lives

Retired doctors are apparently required to undergo diversity training before they can help administer vaccines.

After a year of the Covid pandemic, the rollout of the vaccine promises to be the light at the end of the tunnel. And while the work to develop and test the vaccines has been done successfully and at record speed, the rollout poses an enormous logistical challenge.

In the UK, retired doctors are volunteering to become Covid vaccinators to speed up the process. But the bureaucratic hurdles to volunteering are bordering on the absurd.

Hilaria Baldwin Shows That Racism Still Lives in America, But Not How You Might Think

Hilaria Baldwin has been claiming to be Spanish for a decade, as Megan Fox details here (and Stephen Kruiser hilariously skewers here), but now that she has been outed as being the daughter of two old Boston families, she made the obligatory Maoist self-incrimination that our moral superiors demand. “I am a white girl. Let’s be very clear that Europe has a lot of white people in there.” But for all the ridicule Hilaria Baldwin is receiving, there is much more to this story than the foolish audacity of one attention-seeking white girl. It reveals an ominous trend in American society today: our society is so post-racial that it’s racial again.

Lies, Damned Lies, And Insane Statistics

Lies, Damned Lies, And Insane Statistics

By the same standard of statistical analysis that the left applies to everything, it is easy to prove that the election was stolen from Donald Trump.

The presidential election is all but over now—“all but” because it was so obviously stolen that there is still a chance truth and justice will prevail, with Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) yesterday becoming the first senator to announce plans to object to congressional certification, which will force the House and Senate to vote on whether to uphold Biden’s contested victory in the Electoral College. The wokies are beyond ecstatic, humming “Hail to the Chief” whenever they think of Joe Biden—or even Hunter Biden, China Joe’s son, under investigation by the Justice Department since late 2018.

The woke media—a media too corrupt to print, during the presidential campaign, stories of the Biden family’s years of corruption—was oh, so uninterested in the statistical disparities in voting that clearly indicated election fraud. They were willing to bear any burden, pay any price, including the traducing of democracy, to get rid of Donald Trump.

Wish you were in Wuhan? Pandemic epicentre celebrates

Unmourned but never to be forgotten, 2020 started passing into history today with scaled-down festivities around the world as humanity bids good riddance to the year of the pandemic – although there were balloons and revelry in Wuhan where the virus began its trail of destruction 12 long months ago.

China, New Zealand, Australia, Japan and South Korea are among the countries who have already greeted the dawn of 2021, with the rest of the planet set to cross the invisible threshold in the coming hours.

With the China deal, the EU falls back to hard realpolitik

With the China deal, the EU falls back to hard realpolitik

“…Simply put, the EU-China agreement is a far more meaningful expression of European strategic autonomy than anything seen so far in the heated debate over the concept, outclassing even Macron’s most headline-grabbing interviews. The indignant cries of American commentators that Europe should have waited to consult with the Biden administration miss the point: the lack of consultation is the message.”

The US should quit NATO in response. But it won’t, not with President China Boy in charge.

Some healthcare workers refuse to take COVID-19 vaccine, even with priority access

They are frontline workers with top-priority access to the COVID-19 vaccine, but they are refusing to take it.

At St. Elizabeth Community Hospital in Tehama County, fewer than half of the 700 hospital workers eligible for the vaccine were willing to take the shot when it was first offered. At Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills, one in five frontline nurses and doctors have declined the shot. Roughly 20% to 40% of L.A. County’s frontline workers who were offered the vaccine did the same, according to county public health officials.

So many frontline workers in Riverside County have refused the vaccine — an estimated 50% — that hospital and public officials met to strategize how best to distribute the unused doses, Public Health Director Kim Saruwatari said.
