Epstein ‘bankrolled Sarah Ferguson for 15 years’ and she ‘took daughters to celebrate his release from prison in US’ astonishing emails claim

Jeffrey Epstein secretly bankrolled Sarah Ferguson for 15 years, astonishing new emails claim.

The convicted paedophile complained to friends about the disgraced duchess’s scrounging ways in messages that suggest his financial support went far beyond the £15,000 she admitted taking from him.

In the previously unseen emails, Epstein reveals Fergie was so desperate to cosy up to him that ‘she was the first to celebrate’ his release from jail ‘with her two daughters in tow’. Princess Beatrice would have been 20 at the time and Eugenie 19, the same age as many of his victims.

Lester B. Pearson won a Nobel Peace Prize. Mark Carney is just happy to be here

October is the perfect time of year to drive up the Gatineau River and soak up the riches of the Canadian autumn. The gorgeous oranges and reds are enough to make this Canadian homesick.

And nostalgic.

For if you hang a left at Chemin Mill in Wakefield and continue past the spa, you stumble upon Maclaren Cemetery, the tiny burial ground that contains Lester B. Pearson, that giant of Canadian politics.

Pentagon blasts ‘woke garbage’ Netflix after release of new gay military series ‘Boots’

The Pentagon is stomping on Netflix amid the release of “Boots,” its new series about a closeted gay Marine recruit, blasting the streaming giant as “woke garbage.”

Trump administration officials accused the platform of pushing an “ideological agenda” with the series, which tells the story of a closeted teen from Louisiana who joins a US Marine Corps boot camp in the 90s, when openly gay recruits were forbidden.

Ports of entry are the ‘Achilles heel’ of border security: analyst

The federal government plans to hire 1,000 new Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) officers across the country, according to a statement released Friday by Prime Minister Mark Carney’s office.

“These new officers will help crack down on the movement of stolen goods, illegal guns and drugs, enforce import measures, and investigate unfair trade practices,” the statement read.

The Liberal government is also raising the CBSA’s recruitment stipend for the first time since 2005, from $125 to $525 per week, the statement said.

Carney has to check with Xi to see where the new hires will be placed.

Dutch towns rocked by anti-immigration protests ahead of election

Aalten, a little town of 27,000 people tucked away in the farmland of the southeast Netherlands, is the unlikely home of the Australian rock legend Angus Young.

Just over a decade ago, the AC/DC guitarist and his Dutch wife, Ellen, bemused residents by building a large neo-renaissance villa there — complete with a sculpted head with devil’s horns and stained glass decorated with a lightning bolt.

This year, however, the people of Aalten learnt of a rather more controversial building project a couple of miles from Young’s mansion: a housing complex for 300 asylum seekers planned for a farmer’s field on the edge of town.

Iran says it’s no longer bound by nuclear deal limits

Bushehr nuclear power plant Iran

Iran says it is no longer bound by restrictions on its nuclear program, as a landmark 2015 deal with world powers officially expired.

From now on, “all of the provisions (of the deal), including the restrictions on the Iranian nuclear program and the related mechanisms, are considered terminated,” Iran’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

The 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), commonly known as the Iran nuclear deal, capped Iran’s nuclear activity, uranium stockpiles and research efforts in exchange for sanctions relief.

Netanyahu adviser says Carney should reconsider willingness to arrest Israeli PM if he travelled to Canada

Canada’s Prime Minister is “betraying” Israel, and should reconsider his willingness to have Benjamin Netanyahu arrested if he steps on soil, an adviser to the Israeli leader said Saturday.

Mark Carney told Bloomberg in an interview published Friday that he would abide by the policies of his predecessor, Justin Trudeau, to act on a 2024 warrant issued for Mr. Netanyahu by the International Criminal Court, which alleged that he committed war crimes by using starvation as a tool of warfare.

Putin aide proposes direct Russia-US tunnel

Russia US Tunnel – Bering Strait

Russia and the US should build a direct rail tunnel under the Bering Strait to link the two countries, Russian presidential aide Kirill Dmitriev has suggested.

In a post on X on Thursday, Dmitriev, who also serves as head of Russia’s sovereign wealth fund (RDIF), said both nations would benefit from the route and invited billionaire Elon Musk to join through his Boring Company, which builds underground “Loop” transport systems.

KLEIN: Canadian politicians silent about Canada’s cartel crisis

Canada has a drug problem that our leaders refuse to face. This isn’t just about overdoses or addiction — though that alone is tragedy enough. It’s about cartels and organized crime groups using Canada as their safe base, running drugs into the United States and around the world while our government turns a blind eye. Everyone in Ottawa knows what’s going on. They read the same intelligence reports, they see the same RCMP briefings, and they know thousands of Canadians are dying every year. But what do we get in response? Committees, titles, press conferences — and no real action.

Spanish town bans black cat adoptions during Halloween

The Spanish town of Terrassa in north-eastern Catalonia has temporarily banned the adoption of black cats from animal shelters to prevent potentially sinister “rituals” during Halloween.

All requests for the fostering or adoption of the felines will be denied from 6 October to 10 November to protect them from being hurt or used as props, said the local animal welfare service.

Deputy Mayor Noel Duque told broadcaster RTVE that adoption requests for black cats usually increase around Halloween.

When a Harper Conservative goes after Pierre Poilievre, you know there’s blood in the water

The uprising against Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre may have officially begun.

Just three months before Poilievre’s leadership review in Calgary, Stephen Harper’s former spokesman is letting it be known that knives should be out.

Writing in the Star, Dimitri Soudas accuses Poilievre of “dismantling the principled, serious and credible Conservative party Harper worked so hard to lead and bring to power, one of substance, maturity and integrity.”

Carney’s media is working overtime this weekend.
