Why Trump Was Right All Along About the Smithsonian

President Donald Trump has once again shaken the Washington establishment by taking aim at the Smithsonian, lambasting its museums for promoting woke narratives instead of celebrating American achievement and a “bright future.” He has launched a 120-day review of eight major museums, including the National Museum of African American History and Culture, demanding the removal of what he calls “divisive” or “anti-American” content. This is not a trivial cultural critique; Trump frames it as a bold effort to restore patriotism and reclaim the nation’s historical narrative from the grip of woke ideology.

US Sanctions Canadian International Criminal Court Judge

The United States has placed sanctions on a Canadian judge and three other judges who sit on the International Criminal Court (ICC), saying they authorized ICC investigations into U.S. personnel in Afghanistan.

The U.S. State Department said in an Aug. 20 statement that judge Kimberly Prost was sanctioned after authorizing an ICC investigation into potential alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity by U.S. soldiers in Afghanistan since 2003. The Appeals Chamber of the ICC decided unanimously to authorize the investigation in March 2020.

Desperate for Attention: Ana Navarro Rages at Melania Plea to End War

With The View on hiatus until its September return for season 29, ABC News co-host Ana Navarro seemed to be getting a little antsy. Instead of just enjoying her vacation with a glass of wine, Navarro uncorked a series of Instagram posts and whined about First Lady Melania Trump’s letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin, pleading with him to think of the children in Ukraine and end the war. Of course, Navarro exploited it as an opportunity to feed the Trump haters in her comment section.

Samidoun Bitch Charlotte Kates

VANCOUVER — A member of the British Columbia legislature says she is pursuing a private prosecution against a Vancouver woman who praised Hamas’s Oct. 7 attack on Israel as “heroic.”

Dallas Brodie, leader of the OneBC party, says she has submitted allegations of “terrorism offences” against Charlotte Kates to B.C. provincial court.

Kates’ social media accounts list her as the international co-ordinator for Samidoun, a group added to Canada’s list of terrorist entities in 2024.

New York Appeals Court Throws Out Trump‘s $364 Million Fraud Penalty

An appeals court has thrown out the massive civil fraud penalty against President Donald Trump, a huge win for Trump over the lawfare waged against him in the run-up to his 2024 election victory.

A panel of five judges in New York’s mid-level Appellate Division ruled Thursday that the original verdict secured by New York Attorney General Letitia (Tish) James in Judge Arthur Engoron’s court was “excessive.”

GOLDSTEIN: Critics say Netanyahu doesn’t want war with Hamas to end

The greatest threat to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s political future isn’t Hamas, Hezbollah, Iran or criticism by Prime Minister Mark Carney and his support for a Palestinian state.

Rather, it’s hundreds of past and present Israeli military and security officials who publicly oppose his plan to re-occupy Gaza City, now in its early stage, along with a growing portion of the Israeli public, including the families of many Israeli hostages.

I don’t think they’ll change coaches in the middle of a winning streak.

No reason for Israel to care much for “world” opinion any longer being damned no matter what they do.

US air power could solve Ukraine’s security problem

Volodymyr Zelensky and his European counterparts believe that any eventual peace agreement must be protected by the deployment of ground forces to Ukraine, providing “security guarantees”. The intention is that these forces would serve as a tripwire-style deterrence against a future Russian invasion five, 10 or 15 years down the line. After reconstituting Russia’s military and economy thanks to post-war sanctions relief, Vladimir Putin or his successor might then decide to attack Ukraine. But the Russian military would have to deal with Western military forces as well as those of Kyiv.

Punishing Washington, One Canadian Grocery Cart at a Time

Food inflation has returned as a problem for Canadian households. According to Statistics Canada, food prices rose 3.3% in July, outpacing overall inflation by 1.6 percentage points. Unlike past cycles, this spike cannot be blamed on volatile global markets. The cause lies much closer to home — in our own policy decisions.

Coffee prices surged 28.6%, confectionery 11.8%, and fresh fruit 3.9%, with grapes alone up nearly 30%. Since March 2025 — when Ottawa ended the GST holiday that had distorted winter data — food inflation has exceeded the overall CPI by an average of 1.4 points. A large part of this gap stems from the counter-tariffs imposed on essential imports, many of which lack viable domestic substitutes.

Hundreds of students have visas revoked for ‘supporting terror’

Hundreds of students in the US have had their visas removed for supporting “terrorism”.

More than 6,000 student visas have been revoked by the State Department in 2025, the “vast majority” because of legal violations, an administration official said.

Around 200 to 300 students had their visas rescinded for alleged terrorism after engaging in behaviour such as raising funds for Hamas, according to an official.

Premier Doug Ford is speaking out after a Lindsay, Ont., homeowner was charged with assault following a violent encounter with an alleged intruder over the weekend.

WOW! Ford said something sorta conservative.

Russia launches biggest wave of strikes on Ukraine for weeks

Russia has launched 574 drones and 40 missiles on Ukraine in one of the heaviest bombardments in weeks, Ukrainian officials say.

One person was killed in a drone and missile strike on the western city of Lviv, while 15 others were reported wounded in an attack on the south-western Transcarpathia region.

The attacks came as US President Donald Trump spearheads diplomatic moves to halt the war. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said the strikes highlighted why efforts to bring it to an end were “so critical”.

Buchenwald memorial entrance – To Each His Own

A German court has ruled that a Nazi concentration camp memorial has the right to refuse entry to those wearing the Palestinian keffiyeh scarf.

The higher administrative court in the eastern state of Thuringia on Wednesday rejected a request from a woman to be allowed entry to the Buchenwald concentration camp memorial while wearing a keffiyeh.

According to local media reports, the woman was turned away when she attempted to attend a commemorative event marking the 80th anniversary of the camp’s liberation in April while wearing the scarf.
