Ford government extends state of emergency, coronavirus stay-at-home order for additional 14 days

The Ford government has extended its second state of emergency and a stay at home order due to coronavirus for an additional two weeks.

Included as a line in a news release about the vaccine program, the province says both the state of emergency and the stay-at-home order will now extend until at least Feb. 9.

Last week, AstraZeneca told the EU it was falling behind on its supply target because of production problems and Pfizer-BioNTech has also said supplies of its vaccine will be lower.

In response, EU Health Commissioner Stella Kyriakides has now said companies making Covid vaccines in the bloc will have to “provide early notification whenever they want to export vaccines to third countries”.
