By overexposing the rich and famous, lockdown has robbed them of influence

But with cinemas shuttered and concert venues closed, the stars were suddenly out of sight, and, increasingly, out of mind. Without the Hollywood hype machine constantly reminding us to care about what celebs were up to, it turned out that we didn’t think much about them at all.”
It’s been illuminating to witness the strident lunacy of celebrity idiots I’ll give lockdown that much credit.
