Just deposit 500,000 euros in a local bank, and show proof of local accommodation (purchase or rental) and voilà — a marginal tax rate on income of 53.31 per cent in Ontario or Quebec is replaced with zero per cent in Monaco. This could be worth millions of dollars for the players.
