The lawyer for the man accused of killing a Toronto cop earlier this month made a brief court appearance today — far earlier than scheduled.
Umar Zameer, 31, was supposed to make a bail appearance at Old City Hall at 2 p.m., but media were told shortly after 1 p.m. that the matter had already been dealt with, leaving reporters without an opportunity to observe the proceedings, or even get their first look at the accused.
