Jagmeet Singh is a Sikh Canadian politician who has been steadily gaining in popularity; he is also, alas, distinctly unsympathetic to Israel. It used to be that Canada’s mainstream political parties, at least at the top level, expressed support for Israel even if as among the NDP and LPC that support was only an inch deep and in no way representative of the views held by many of the rank and file.
Now “anti-zionist” gaslighting is mainstream and that Green Party kerfuffle a sign of things to come on larger political stages.
