Conservative vote likely not hurt — or particularly helped — by carbon pricing plan, new poll finds

OTTAWA — As the Conservative Party prepares to review its 2021 election loss, one of the biggest internal battles will be on environmental policy: Did Erin O’Toole’s inclusion of carbon pricing in the Conservative platform hurt the party’s performance?

I predict the CCP shift to the left is permanent. If not O’Toole the “braintrust” will install a “leader” equally suited to their ideological shift. They will continue to mouth “conservative positions” only to walk them back as needed.
