As press freedom declines worldwide, CBC/Radio-Canada should embrace an international broadcasting role
Canada’s role in the world is rather discreet nowadays. This was made clear during the federal election campaign when the candidates’ proposals on foreign policy were thoroughly lacking, just like those for culture and communications. Putting these two problems together, we can consider one solution: create a world service at CBC/Radio-Canada.

FDA-Approved Prescription Drugs Later Pulled from the Market
According to the FDA, a “drug is removed from the market when its risks outweigh its benefits. A drug is usually taken off the market because of safety issues with the drug that cannot be corrected, such as when it is discovered that the drug can cause serious side effects that were not known at the time of approval.” The FDA also takes into account the number of people taking a drug being considered for removal so as to not harm those patients.

The reality is that more people have died from COVID-19 in 2021, with most adults vaccinated (and nearly all seniors), than in 2020 when nobody was vaccinated. Something is not adding up, and perhaps those who have been dabbling in gain-of-function research in recent years have the answer.
