
OTTAWA – Nearly 40 per cent of respondents to Correctional Service Canada’s latest survey of women employees say they don’t feel mentally or emotionally safe at work and nearly one third report being the victim of harassment or violence because of their gender while on the job within the last five years.
The perpetrators of the harassment or violence is most likely to be a co-worker in a position of authority (55 per cent cent), according to the results of CSC’s 2021 National Employment Equity Survey of Women Employees.
