A police task force has seized some of the cryptocurrency from a donation drive in support of the Ottawa trucker protests, one of the proponents of the fundraiser revealed in court documents filed on Tuesday.
Nicholas St. Louis, an Ottawa man who previously described himself as the “bitcoin team lead” for the protests, said in an affidavit that police executed a search warrant on him on Feb. 28. He said the warrant had been sealed by a court.
