A number of attacks in the Jackson-Lakewood area are being condemned by officials as possible hate crimes. Authorities charged 27-year-old Dion Marsh of Manchester Township with carjacking, bias intimidation and attempted murder after four separate violent incidents. According to police, on Friday afternoon, Marsh carjacked a motorist in Jackson, later struck two pedestrians and stabbed a man in Lakewood. All three victims were taken to Jersey Shore Medical Center and are in stable condition. After his arrest, Marsh allegedly made antisemitic statements to investigators.
