According to a new Angus Reid poll, 56% of evangelical Christians say they feel shut out of society for their beliefs, with Muslims at 26%.
“All religious groups surveyed viewed evangelical Christianity as more damaging to society than beneficial, while Islam was also perceived in a largely negative light.”
Rania Lawendy, former Muslim Association of Canterbury spokesperson, says that Islamophobia remains rife in Canada because Muslims are made to feel that their religion is “not conducive to the universal values of Canada.”

New Immigration Pathways Needed To Attract Tech Talent
Canada’s growth in the digital economy at large will trigger demand for an additional 250,000 jobs next year and the current workforce is not positioned to meet this demand.
In a report calling for new immigration pathways for tech talent, the Council of Canadian Innovators (CCI) now estimates that by the end of 2025, employment in the digital economy will reach 2.26 million or roughly 11 per cent of all employment in Canada.
“Canada’s current workforce is not positioned to meet this demand. Right now, there are hundreds of domestic companies commercializing innovative new products and services, and they are all desperate for highly skilled talent,” said the report.

Biden White House Report Says Energy Taxes Are ‘Needed’ For Green Transition
The White House said Americans should pay higher taxes to ensure a rapid green transition away from fossil fuels in a report on President Joe Biden’s economic record.
The federal government can encourage such a shift through carbon taxes or a cap and trade system forcing an emissions limit on companies, said the Council of Economic Advisers (CEA) report released last week. The White House added that consumers would continue purchasing “artificially inexpensive, carbon-intensive goods” without proper government policies in place.
