Carbon tax will cost farmers $235 million: PBO

The PBO estimates farmers will be charged $9 million in carbon taxes this year. By 2022, the number is expected to increase to around $60 million annually.

The statistics were created on the request of Conservative MP Philip Lawrence. Lawrence recently proposed a bill which would exempt farmers from the carbon tax on propane and natural gas.

Canada’s Plan to Regulate Internet Blasted by Twitter and More, Reveal Unsealed Documents

Professor Michael Geist, Canada Research Chair in internet and e-commerce law at the University of Ottawa in a recent blog post shared a trove of submissions from the Government of Canada’s online harms consultation that had previously not been made public.

Included are submissions from Twitter, TikTok, Microsoft, Pinterest, the Business Software Alliance, and more, all heavily criticizing the government’s plans. Even Canada’s largest telecom companies (Bell, Rogers, Telus, Cogeco, Quebecor, and Shaw) provided a joint submission.

Only a fraction of consultation submissions were actually made public by Canadian Heritage, while the rest were never disclosed — until now. Geist was able to acquire these submissions by filing an Access to Information Act request to compel disclosure by law of the consultation submissions.

Canada Experiencing Fastest Rate Of Ethnic Change In Western World

“Justin Trudeau won suburban ridings with large immigrant populations across the country. Politically, keeping those voters loyal is his first and most important task.”

A study from Eric Kaufmann, Professor at the University of London, states that “Canada is experiencing the fastest rate of ethnic change of any country in the Western world.”

Prof. Kaufmann is quoting Statistics Canada report projections, and he suggests that based on current immigration patterns, Canada will be 80% non-white in less than a century.

How Hollywood Celebrated Earth Day 2022: Tree Hugging, Fossil Fuel Bashing, ‘Celebrating Mother’

Celebrities including Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Rosanna Arquette, and Paramount Network’s Yellowstone star Piper Perabo gave shout-outs to Greenpeace, which continues to wage war on the oil industry and promote climate change ideology.

Other stars observing Earth Day include Barbra Streisand, Mark Ruffalo, Kevin Bacon, Chelsea Handler, and Kerry Washington.

Their activism comes amid the worst inflation in four decades, which has pushed up energy prices, including gas prices, to record levels. As Breitbart News reported, energy prices have soared 32 percent in the past 12 months.

Oh, Good. Chicago Putting “Unarmed Security Guards” On The Trains And Buses

In Chicago, on just one evening this week, there were three people injured and one person killed in multiple shootings. Sadly, that wasn’t a big enough number to make the headlines outside of the Windy City because it’s really just a typical night out on the town. An increasing amount of criticism has been leveled against the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) because the trains and buses have become some of the most dangerous places to be, particularly after dark. Now, as CBS Chicago reports, the CTA is answering the call for action. But their latest response has been to announce that they will be deploying 300 unarmed guards to ride the lines and monitor the stations. CBS is perhaps overly polite when they ask the obvious question. Will that be enough?

ATF In Turmoil As Top Black Director Demoted, Biden Pushes Second White Man For Top Job

The embattled Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives was rocked again this week when an insider favored for the bureau’s top job was abruptly demoted after being passed over a second time by President Joe Biden.

Reports said that acting Director Marvin Richardson, the highest-ranking black man at the agency who had 30 years of experience with ATF, announced Monday that he was being shoved aside by the White House. Biden last week chose a white lawyer to head the sprawling law enforcement agency after his first pick, another white male, bowed out under pressure.
