Budget Office Says Freeland’s Luxury Tax Will Kill Jobs And Lead To $604 Million Loss

The parliamentary budget watchdog is warning that a 10% tax on private planes, expensive cars and boats proposed by Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland will lead to a loss of jobs and generate far less revenue than the government estimates.

Were The Residential School Discoveries Cover Up For Canada-China Covid Scandal?

In May 2021, the Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc community confirmed remains of 215 children who attended the Kamloops Indian Residential School had been discovered. In June, the Cowessess First Nation in Saskatchewan announced the discovery of at least 750 unmarked graves on the grounds of the former Marieval Indian Residential School.

In British Columbia, the Ktunaxa Nation announced that graves had been found in July 2021 at the site of the former St. Eugene’s Mission School near the city of Cranbrook, B.C.

What has never been posited by media is that unmarked graves discoveries arrived at the point when our federal government were being raked over the coals regarding what CAP call the Winnipeg-Wuhan Covid Controversy.

Vancouver Requires Gas Stations & Parking Lots Without EV Chargers To Pay $10,000 Per Year

The Vancouver city council has approved a new $10,000 annual fee for gas stations and commercial parking lots that don’t install EV chargers by January 2025. In order to comply with the new rule, gas stations will have to install at least one DC fast charger with a minimum charging speed of 50kW. Parking lots will need to install four Level 2 chargers in order to meet the guidelines. Lots with fewer than 60 parking spaces will be exempt from the new fees.

A Data-Based Solution For America’s Bloody Gun Epidemic

Democrats push the same set of policy prescriptions after each horrific mass shooting like Tuesday’s massacre of 19 children and two teachers at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas. Each time, Republicans claim that the problem isn’t guns, take umbrage at infringing upon Americans’ Second Amendment rights and stymie any move to even try to prevent future carnage.

But as we suffer through yet another anguishing episode in our epidemic of gun violence, unique to the US, it’s time for a new idea — one based in evidence and data. Age-based restrictions that keep guns away from young men offer our best hope for addressing a genuine crisis and saving lives.

New York Times Blasts Americans on Memorial Day Weekend for Driving Too Much

As gas prices reached another record on Saturday of $4.60 per gallon, up 45 cents from one month ago, according to AAA, many Americans are looking to enjoy their holiday weekend by getting out of town using a gas-powered vehicle. Yet the Times on Friday slammed American drivers for over-consuming gasoline.

During This Summer’s Blackouts, Remember The ‘Green’ Cutlery!

Amidst the serious and sometimes devastating issues facing our nation today, you’ll be glad to know our leaders are focusing on the important stuff.

I refer to the guidelines published by the Department of Energy for helping Americans prepare for blackouts over the summer. Among its routine advice, it offers this jaw-dropping gem: “Have sustainably sourced disposable utensils and dinnerware on hand so you do not need to use water to wash dishes.”
