Locals left baffled by ‘Balamory from hell’ road layout
Bemused locals have slammed the use of “wiggly lines” in a controversial road scheme in Somerset, claiming the new layout has turned the town into “Balamory from hell”.
North Somerset Council started work on the new road layout along The Beach in Clevedon last autumn, with many local residents and businesses objecting to the changes.
The road scheme has seen a 400-metre segregated cycle lane installed along the seafront and the parking reconfigured. The road has also been made one way.
