Canada is now a country where someone can rape a woman and serve out his sentence in relative comfort at home. This week, a Quebec court judge gave a 20-month suspended sentence, the first 14 months of which will be served under house arrest, to a man who nonconsensually sodomized his former girlfriend, anally raping her despite her protests.
