Experts are concerned with how many people have had any COVID-19 vaccine, regardless if it’s their first vaccine or fifth, in the past six months.
Those who are farther than six months from their last vaccine have a higher chance of a breakthrough infection and the viral load will also be higher, explained Dawn Bowdish, a professor at McMaster University and a Canada Research Chair in aging and immunity.
