OTTAWA — Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre denounced a German politician after several Tory MPs were criticized for meeting with her while she was in Canada this week.
She represents the Alternative for Germany party, a right-wing populist party that opposes immigration. Parts of the party were put under surveillance as a suspected extremist group by Germany’s intelligence agency in 2021.
The chair of the Canadian Anti-Hate Network and at least two Canadian Jewish organizations expressed concern about the MPs having dinner with Anderson.

“As we have stressed in response to previous incidents of this nature, it is imperative that members of Parliament do their due diligence when agreeing to formal meetings,” Nicole Amiel of the Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs, said in a statement issued on Friday.
The previous night, the centre said in a tweet that it was “deeply concerned” about the meeting with Ms. Anderson, whom they described as a member of a party “known for Islamophobic and anti-immigrant views.”
This is the same bullshit we have seen with Scheer, O’Toole and now Poilievre. Liberal Party wannabes dressed up as conservatives.
The NatPo article even quotes one of the Antifa loving Anti-Hate Hateys. I wonder if Pierre will denounce them?
