
Ex-Gaddafi bodyguard fights for refugee status in Canada, denies guilt in crimes against humanity
Gamal Ali Faraj Alamri was a part-time bodyguard to one of recent history’s most ruthless and mercurial dictators.
But in his 20 years as an unpaid member of Muammar Gaddafi’s Revolutionary Guard in Libya, the British Columbia resident says he never committed, witnessed or aided in any of the various atrocities blamed on the unit.
