When media reported on Dec. 15, 2017, that Barry and Honey Sherman had been found dead in their Toronto home, it became the rare Canadian event that garnered international attention.
“Very quickly, it became a big story,” said Matthew Campbell, a Canadian reporter and editor for Bloomberg Businessweek. “There aren’t a lot of stories from Canada that go global, and there certainly aren’t a lot of stories from Canada that you get asked about at dinner parties in London and Paris, as I was over the next few months.”
