The co-founder of Extinction Rebellion has been described as “a hypocrite” by her own organisation for buying plastic-wrapped groceries including grapes from Chile and citrus fruit from Spain.
Dr Gail Bradbrook, 50, was photographed shopping at a branch of Waitrose in Stroud, Gloucestershire.
The pictures, which were printed in The Sun, also showed her using a 1.5-litre diesel car.
