
Danish police are being paid to play computer games like Fortnite and Minecraft. But they’re not having fun at the taxpayer’s expense. They are patrolling gaming communities for abusers.
The 10-strong team, set up last year to tackle a spike in online crime during Covid lockdowns, predominantly hunts for sexual predators and economic criminals. The unit also surfs Twitch, Discord, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok.
