Dean of Canterbury defends appointment of tattooed priest

The Dean of Canterbury has defended a tattooed priest appointed to the city’s cathedral.

Celebrating her new role, the cathedral tweeted a photo of Reverend Wendy Dalrymple in a short-sleeved dog-collared dress that revealed her religious tattoos.

But she was targeted by online trolls who branded the Anglican cleric as “prideful” and “vain” for “the peacock display”.
